Hi! It's been a while! I recognize a lot of people's work from posting on scifi-meshes too. Awesome work all around. :techman:

I just finished making a 3D animated video, a little sketch about why Captain Kirk speaks with his dramatic pauses.

The Enterprise model is by Raul Mamoru which I got from trekmeshes.ch and then modified, and the bridge screen graphics are by feek61 which I got from tosgraphics.com, both credited in the video. The rest of the graphics I did myself, including the bridge and characters. I hope you enjoy it!

Very nice, @BlobVanDam! Thank you very much for sharing. Good job on the design of this. The bridge set, the characters, the camera setups – everything looks very professional. I especially like how you got Kirk's mannerisms down.

Your animation is very well done. This probably ought to go in "Fan Productions," however. @M?
Nah, I think there's bound to be some overlap from time to time. Much of what we do in Fan Art can be considered a “Fan Production”. So I'm fine with this staying here. Unless, of course, @BlobVanDam wants me to move the thread over there. Then I will happily oblige. :)

Thanks! I tried to match TOS as best I could, such as camera angles, the overhead spotlight lighting, and the '60s film look. Even though the Kirk mannerisms are exaggerated to be comical, I looked to the classic Kirk speeches for reference on his hand gestures and expressions. Those were the most fun to animate.

I didn't consider posting in fan productions, but as the story is more of a joke/parody, I don't feel like it would be right to put this the same category as serious fan productions. :)
