I know tonight was Oscar night, but did anyone catch this episode of The Amazing Race? Personally, I think I would have waited a week to show a new episode because of how long the Oscars typically go, but I did DVR it and was able to catch it.

It was a non elimination tonight so glad that Jeff and Jordan are still in the Race. Good for Louie and Mike to have a good leg this time and get to the top. Not really much else to say about this one other than I was glad they brought back the Intersection. That wasn't there last season and they need more "random" stuff on this show. It seems like they're good at taking out stuff like the Yield, Fast Forward, and other things, and they need to bring those back and include other "Travel" lingo. Continues to make the show interesting if it is more than just Roadblocks Detours and Pit Stops.

I'm glad that Jeff and Jordan are still in it. I kind of thought this would be a non-elimination leg from the beginning because of the types of challenges that were involved. The intersection was interesting. It's funny how everyone thought the cops would be going home tonight but they ended up in first place!!

By the way, the preview for next week was hilarious!

I thought the intersection was a new thing... here I was thinking I missed it last year.

It's a great concept... I kind of wish teams had to either split up or work together for entire legs and had to finish at the same time. Since they are all about equalizing anyway, the pair up the teams like a sports playoff system - first place team paired with the last place team and etc.

It'd also make for funny situations if teams that hated each other depended on each other to finish. :p

According to Wiki it was also used in Seasons 10 and 11. I remember it being used before, so it was nice to see it back.

So at the intersection, when the only other teams available had gay people on them, did Heidi really say they chose the team (that happened to have no gay people on it) because "they come from a good family like us"?

I got three teams I am rooting for:

The cowboys
The two detectives
The Chinese guy and his wife

If one of these three wins I will be happy.

I'm glad Jeff & Jordan caught a break with the non-elim. I figured it probably would be since we had 3 elims in a row. They had bad luck with that cabbie.

Oh, and here in Canada, AR aired at 7pm so there was no issue with the Oscars.

I welcomed it as something to watch besides the oscars.

Good episode but I'm betting that somewhere there caught grief for the beer challenge as condoning irresponsible drinking.. sigh
