Since I saw it in the theater in 2013, my opinion really has'nt changed with the issues I had with it, but I noticed in the credits (Don't think I stayed the first time) that Liam's Hemsworth was there as George Kirk and the actress that played winona Kirk , were they Cut I don't remember seeing them in the film..

Their voices are there when Kirk is coming to after dying in the warp core.

Clearly a time-traveller. Knowing they recast the cheaper and more available Liam as Kirk Snr in the next film like that.
