29th Century Wells class

the USS Relativity was infact a Relativity-G correct? so... there where 8 other Relativity's. That must mean one was lost every 60 years AT LEAST, or else we would have seen Relativity in a cannon 24th century timeline. i loved the design, but was saddened by the lack of blue and red nacelles

No no, in the future they have multiple ships with the same name at the same time, only distinguished by a letter. MANY Relativity ships are out there..

Nacelles however are illegal.

Maybe they're named in reverse, and the G is the latest, due to be destroyed in 60 years in the future from when Seven of Nine was brought aboard...

These things live outside of time. Every time a universe is overwritten while one of these ships are outside time, are bound to meet temporal doppelgängers born fresh from the new universe they're moored to. They never know what's going to spring up out of "now" beneath them, whether it be complete assholes or mirror copies who will sign up not quite aware that it's probably relative minutes till their reality is superseded by yet some new mockery of what was. Dozens or hundreds, or thousands of Relativitys staffed by Braxton, Ducane and...

Unless planets, maybe solar systems or even a galaxy or two are completely temporally shielded and immune tot he buggering about by time experimentations by oddjobs elsewhere that crosstime there is only one Earth and one Federation.

In a world of time travel, where they've developed a technique to Tuvix alternate-reality duplicates of people together, that -G could mean anything (see how "NX-01" in Enterprise, 200 years prior to Voyager, designates the first ship of the NX-class and isn't used in quite the way it is in STIII and beyond). Maybe it's universe-G's verson of Relativity.
Or it's named after famous 28th century rap star Relativity G., who rapped so hard he transcended time itself.

I thought the ship looked like one of those evil Flying Pancakes from TOS. Y'know - the episode where they thought Spock was blind for five minutes.
EDIT: It's "Operation: Annihilate!"

I love the Wells-class! I hope that's indeed the direction Federation starships go in (how much longer can Starfleet continue to use designs derived from the Constitution class?).

Well, um...you see, while her registry would indicate she's the eighth such ship, her dedication plaque said she was the seventh.

One must be chronologically displaced...

It's very likely by the 29th Century (500 years later) that the Federation would be using a different method of propulsion; Coaxial (Vis à Vis), Transwarp (various), quantum slipstream (Hope and Fear, Timeless), interquadratal warp (Inside Man), creating artificial singularities/wormholes (various), or some other method of interstellar travel. ;)
