Right now, I just made the shot heard 'round the world. Seriously, did you guys hear that? As soon as Dana's brainmatter splattered all over the nice, convenient, CSI-busting plastic sheet everyone in the country cheered at once. It was a change we can all believe in. Hell, I shot her again just because it'd feel good. I'm so sorry you guys had to suffer through her crap over the last 20-something hours. Now, where was I? Oh, that's right getting to Agent Red's killer and stopping President Log... er, Taylor from going stupid on us. She's not going to be able to wring her hands out of this one! I'm retired federal agent Jack Bauer and, come on! This is the last season where the fuck is Agent Pierce?!

The following takes palce between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

Events occur in real time.

------------------------------

I'm unlikely to be here tonight for the discussion/antics. I'm spending the night at my parents as tomorrow morning I'm having surgery (brain biopsy) and will either be watching this episode there or will just end-up having to watch it on DVR latter in the week. Have fun tonight, guys!

What are they all on about? The President isn't covering anything up - she's refusing to grant an immunity order to a murderess - who is a known liar, whose previous attempt to help proved fruitless and who may or may not know anything useful. This is her right as the President; she doesn't have to grant an immunity order if she doesn't want to and she has no way of knowing if Walsh has any relevant evidence anyway.

Plus, if Walsh wants to spill her guts at any time without an immunity order, she still can.

Plus why isn't a peace agreement worth a few compromises? How do they think peace in the middle east will ever be brokered if politicians follow Jack's (rather inconsistent) attitude. I mean has anybody forgotten how he tortured and killed his way through the last 7 series?

PLUS the Russians want the peace deal to fail and Jack will play into their hands if it fails because of some kind of plausibly deniable Russian agents took it upon themselves to derail it. Is there any reason why he can't get the evidence he wants later on so that the peace deal goes through and the US government has future leverage against the Russians? Or are they suggesting that the Russians have forgotten how to conduct covert operations covertly?

I know it's 24 but...

Taylor is covering up all the crimes the Russians are responsible for. Including the deaths. Like Ethan said, those are impeachable offenses.

You say that as if it's a minor occurrence! Good luck.

Yeah, I'm expecting her to strap on her balls again and go all self-righteous about the treaty is more important than the truth, blah, blah, blah.

I'm expecting Jack to bring down another presidential administration before 4:00 P.M.

Should I be more worried? I mean, it's not like it's brain surgery.

Even Jack Bauer is going to have a hard time breaking Taylor's Handring of Doom!

Maybe Jack can call in the former First Gentleman...

So after last week where I was criticized for cheering the death of Dana Walsh (while at the same time criticizing the acting of Katee Sackhoff) and being the only one to hate last week's Lost's poor writing by killing off half of it's main cast, I'm returning to take more lumps!

Good times!

I hope Taylor at least has the common sense to pardon her stupid daughter at the end of Day 8.

Hell man, I thought everyone was cheering when Jack capped Starbuck! I know I was.

I'd have to go back and look, but someone was trying to provoke me into an argument.

I'd love to know what the history is between Jack and Madsen's character. Jack sure knows some interesting folks.
