Our Earth is a terraformed Earth to look like the previous Earth to which this planet was modeled to emulate. Like other early colony planets colonized a theme was chosen for the planet to emulate. We are a "What Earth would be like without Noonian Soong Kahn and the Third world war" concept as if the Eugenics wars had been skipped and life progressed. To seed it correctly Earth, or the Colony was seeded by enthusiastic seeding scientists that placed the time period to mid 20th century time so that the colony would grow in to the 21st. When contact was made by the Federation of planets, the crew of founders made the show Star Trek to cover the transmission. Earth Colony 20th Century became Earth Colony 21st Century and the founders aging pledged that life would continue on with every detail emerging as the inhabitants could produce, and that one day the colony may join the stars like the society that had birthed them. As soon as they were ready, the two peoples may journey together, One having stellarly and abundantly journeyed, One without the scars of Kahn. It was a hope in such a distant future the two peoples would reunite and have much to talk about. There would be undoubtedly a lot to learn from the two courses of history each would tell and discourse from the parent planet would surely bring conversations. Earth Colony, Earth mid 20th century now Earth colony Early 21st is a wonder to the simple life of what society would have been like for Earth planet of the Federation of Planets if Kahn hadn't emerged and devastated the world. All hands untied on Earth Colony, things could still go drastic, but working together the colony has persevered.
