2018 and women's shoes are Still men's

its 2018 and "women's" shoes from most manufactures, especially the 'biggies' Nike, adidas, Saucony, are still made on a last for men.
You'd think by this time it would be common knowledge that women aren't just different shaped men!
I usually buy Mizuno shoes. They are difficult to find in the real world, I mostly have to purchase in line, which, as most people know can be fraught with problems.
Okay.
I'm done.
PS
FYI:
Women are not just differently shaped men.

It took me a moment to remember what a last is, and I worked in footwear for a while.

To be fair, no last would be like mine, although I have the exact hand shape and size of a certain actor, so the foot might be match too, but I doubt he’s worked for adidas, unlike me.

Eta: my autocorrect thinks adidas should be capitalised. Bizarre.

Okay, how do you know you have the exact hand shape and size of a certain actor? Like how can you know that?
But I don't think that you'd necessarily have the same size feet.

Anyway I hate wearing shoes that flop up and down in the heel.
I had Issued Nikes in the military and they wear so wide in my foot I was running and the shoe fell off. It was tied and laced as tightly as possible.
Then the drill Sgt. Showed me how to lace it so that the eyelets overlapped. Totally ridiculous.
So the shoe stated on but my foot was slipping around in the front and the heel part flopped up and down still.

.

Hand print casting, fit me like it was my own hand, like a glove you might say, ring finger and ring too. Left hand only, right hand was way off.

So your hands each are a way different size? :wtf:
My feet are a little different about 1/2 USA size.
But that's not way different.

It wasn't until 2013 when women in the military actually got BDU's (Battle Dress Uniforms or fatigues) designed for women. Before that, for all time they just wore smaller version of the male BDU.

I was not aware the changed the BDUs.
I'll bet the boots are still not changed.

If you happen to live anywhere near Boston area I can tell you exactly which stores have Mizunos, as I use them or Brooks.

Yeah, I’ve also heard athletic women have trouble finding pants with room for leg muscles. Clothing designers need to do better for athletic women.

I am nowhere near Boston.:biggrin::beer:

Nike used to build lasts for women.

Also, for those struggling with different fits in shoes, lacing can make a huge difference:

I had Nike's in the military.
After I was running in sand and ran right out of my shoe. The Drill Sargeant laced it for me so that the eyelets were on top of one another.
Not really a good solution.
Shoe companies that say they are selling women's shoes should Actually have women's shoes.

I'm not debating your point. I'm stating what I know from 10 years in the shoe retail business. I, unfortunately, do not have access to the last information like I use to regarding Nike's. When I first started working with Nikes their top end shoes used more female specific tech and lasts to build them. Not sure if that changed or not, but that's what it used to be.
