2014-2015 English Premier League

I've never watched much of the football until this year, but the World Cup Fever has led me to watch MLS and the local amateur team, so now I'm finally getting on board with the Premier League. I've watched a few games over the past few years, but I'm making a full time commitment this year. My DirecTV package comes with NBCSports Extra, which is going to be broadcasting all the games, either on the channel or online.

I've picked Everton as my club. Having Tim Howard was a huge factor, and I think Romelu Lukaku is going to have a breakout year. I expect them to crack the top 4 this year. I'm thinking the top two are going to Arsenal and Manchester United.

So I'll be up at 7 am to watch some games tomorrow. You peeps across the pond have it easy!

British folk. I have a question - I'm looking to go to Stamford Bridge to see a Chelsea game, and am wondering what the most reliable online ticket purchasing websites are, if any.

Can you not just order tickets through the club's official website?

Chelsea OS

Not sure if they'd post tickets internationally, but you could just pick them up at the ground on the day.

I'm thinking the top two are going to Arsenal and Manchester United.

Hope you enjoy the EPL :)

Top two will be Man City and Chelsea - just not sure which way around.

Man U totally faceplanted to start the season. Good grief. Bad prediction. At this rate, they'll be in the bottom three only to have some new rule spring up so they won't get relegated.

Man Utd have no identity anymore and it shows. Moyes decided to revamp the back room staff and change the culture of the club and it was a piss poor idea. Van Gaal has decided the old Real Madrid way of buy attackers is the way to go but this not La Liga my dutch friend. Liverpool not faring much better plus European football draining them sees 4th place up for the grabs so Utd may sneak it after all. I tipped Chelsea at the start and I can't see them being stopped, Costa gives them a possible 30 goal striker and that wins you titles. Fabregas is pure class when you build the midfield around him, which Barca failed to do and Jose teams always defend well generally.

1. Chelsea
2. Man City
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
5. Man Utd

Relegation for me..

Burnley, Newcastle & QPR

QPR, or Queens Park Relegation as I now call them, are near certainties for relegation, and I can't wait, especially if they don't pay up their FFP fine and get evicted from the league (not gonna happen but it would be funny)

And yeah Burnley too, too small a squad, no real plan except defend it seems, which won't serve them well.

I actually think Newcastle will stay up and would put Palace or WBA in the final spot.

Hard to see how the top two won't be Man city and chelsea, although Chelsea do seem awfully reliant on Costa.

I expect Arsenal and Man Utd to get 3rd/4th. Liverpool really have turned into this year's Spurs. It is still early days though, we're not a quarter of the way in yet.

Being at Wembley to see QPR fluke their way into the PL - I have no problem in seeing them relegated again at the end of the season..... :D

I almost wish I'd been at Wembley. I was in a pub in Nottingham, which is where I live, and the pub erupted when they scored :(

It's weird, if the positions had been reversed, well I wouldn't have watched the game, but I'd have still probably wanted forest to win given QPR epitomise everything wrong with the modern game.

Bobby Zamora is owned many a free pint if he was ever to come to Nottingham on a night out. Due to that goal against Derby he is a legend
