Trek tree is up with a few new home made ornaments already on. Credit for those go to Gingerbread Girl aka Kira's Mom. The 2013 Hallmark ornaments won't go up until the 25th since Santa hasn't brought them yet. Anyone else got there's up yet?
Non Trek bonus- The Avengers are getting ready for the holidays, too. Yeah, I even have little stockings for them.
My tree. She's not very big at all, but I keep her loaded to the brim with lots of pretty fancy porcelain, glass and wooden ornaments that I and my family acquired when one or both of my parents were still alive. I keep the family tree tradition going, and hang all the best Victorian- and antique-themed ornaments and light it not only for myself and for the Holiday season, but for loved ones who are no longer with me. Plus, it just looks very cool and pretty.
Thanks, Gary. I was hoping the pic would be a tad more crisp so more of the ornaments would be clear and in detail, but it was really late and I used my smartphone and only partial lighting to take the shot.
I was just wrapping presents after work today. Hubby is downstairs baking cookies for an office party. Here's my tree, already posted in the Pictures thread. Every year, I head up to Mom's, either on or after Christmas. Here's my mom's collection of Nutcrackers. She has....a few When I visited her for Thanksgiving, we went shopping and she bought more.
Wow, that's a lot. No man is safe in that house. I just finished another Christmas cross stitch- a quote from Elf: I may turn it into an ornament. ROTFLMAO!!
Great stuff here! I only put the tree up last night. It's fake because of my allergies. I pretty much only have my Spock ornament on it so far. I attempted to put Q on top of the tree (the 9" figure) but he fell off. I think i may use string and put action figures all over it. The Spock is the only actual trek ornament I have. Here is my crappy tree!
Thanks, I'll tell him you said so. ^_^ I have decorations, I just need to dig them out of boxes. I am so late with these things this year.
You rang? Italian buffet from my parents' Christmas party last night. Mom did most of the cooking, but I made one dish and a dessert. Want some spiced rum and red wine punch to wash all that down? Christmas cookies!
