2012 Teaser

How do you pronounce it?

Is it twenty-twelve, or two-thousand twelve?

Everyone's saying it differently.

Nice teaser. Nice SFX. Roland Emmerich always got the touch to put a good teaser for his movies. I remember Stargate and Independance Day in the 90s and the Day after tommorow. The teasers totally got me...

But when it comes to his movies, you always got the same crazy plotlines with that guy nobody listens to his theories and finishes to save the day. I don't know about this one, but I'll give it a shot on DVD.

For me, movies with epic visuals are the only ones I feel I must see in theaters. Anything else works just as well on the small screen.

Yes it was a nice visual, but I imagine the film will be like The Day After Tomorrow 2 or some such gash
And if it's anything like that treatment posted a few months ago it will be shiiiiiiiiite

Full of the same old horrible cliche charatcers and plot shennagins as ID4 & DAT. Whole cities destroyed but a dog makes it through, etc

^^ Interesting that they prompt the audience to do a Google search as opposed to listing their website.

More interesting as it indicates how much Google has become ingrained in our lives.

Same here. It looks like it'll be pretty cool even if it has no scientific validity. I don't go to the movies for realism anyway.

Hahaha... oh my.

Given this is the same team of writer/director that brought us 10,000 BC I think I'll give it a pass

Hugo - will put the £8 saved by missing this into a savings account to spend on a decent future Roland Emmerich film. Should be able to buy refreshments on the interest earned.

I like how it says "google search 2012"

<goes to google search>

It's a film about the 2012 London Olympics?

Wasn't this movie supposed to be a sequel to Stargate?

And this is the first time I can remember where the teaser for a movie looks like garbage, the highest places on Earth underwater? is this a prequel to Water World?

I'm the same way. Like hell I'm paying $20-30 for me and my wife to go see a comedy in the theatre. Having said that, I did just pay to see Zack and Miri, it was hilarious. :)

But before that, the last non-action/spectacle/sfx movie I saw in the theatres was "Something About Mary." years ago.

Maybe good comedies get a pass with me because it can be fun to be in a crowd that's roaring and laughing with me.
