Oh dear, 'Short Ride in a Fast Machine' has a record of bad luck at the Proms: it was going to be in the 1997 season, but then Princess Di died a few days earlier and the title seemed a little tasteless, so it got pulled...

I wonder if they're going to do a mini-episode like they did last time? The fact Matt and Karen are hosting would suggest not, but there's always a chance they could do one featuring Captain Jack or something. And the Proms are set to take place while Season 6 is in production, so I suppose they could sneak in a mini-episode if they wanted to.

I got excited about this when I read the story! The last proms was great...and yes I wonder if they'll involve the Doctor or someone else as part of it.

I downloaded the 2006 Cardiff Concert and 2008 Prom. WONDERFUL STUFF!!!

Can't wait to hear the specials music(particularly Vale Decem) and Eleventh Doctor's theme in July.

I already have both on my ipod touch from the "unreleased music" on youtube.

As great as this sounds, I'll have to wait until they include this on a future DVD release. Just like that Cardiff concert was on the S3 set, and the other Prom was on The Next Doctor DVD.
