2009 Bridge TOS-ified

I started to try and create a version of the bridge with more TOS-like elements. This is what I have so far. I would appreciate any comments and suggestions.

Version 1 looks better, although both have a problem with those ceiling monitors looking really terrible.

I agree, do a version without those top monitors and I think you have got it, they just dont sit right either position wise or stylistically.

I like the revised colour scheme of the displays.

I don't mind those upper displays- though maybe update them a little somehow.

Erase all those lights spotting horizontally out from the wall. They look rediculous. Never liked them in the movie.

But so far so good.

How useful are monitors ten feet off the ground?
the monitors above the stations in the movie would be a good way to provide at-a-glance situational awareness for that station to the CO, provided the vertical divides are removed.

Agree about the lights - how can anyone work with those migraine-inducing lens-flares seen in the movie? Mute, filter, or just eliminate them. Key lighting would be more effective, and a softer overhead lighting. (If you've had to work shifts under flourscent lighting day or night, that tends to wear your eyes out.) I'd keep the overhead monitors, haven't seen an Enterprise bridge without them, and they've always proven a useful story-moving device; but angle them a bit more so that they're more visible from eye-level in the command-well - that's a good point that the commander could see things in a glance at each station. Lighten the greys a bit more.
