Flesh first appeared as part of 2000 AD's opening line up in its first issue in 1977. The series was set in the age of dinosaurs who were farmed for their meat by cowboys from the future.

In the strip, the explanation for the extinction of the dinosaurs was not due to the change of climate, disease, or an asteroid collision, but was in fact due to over-farming by humans from the future in order to satisfy mankind's desire for genuine meat products in a world where livestock is severely depleted.

Given the still incredibly successful Jurassic Park series, I believe either a live action or animated version of this story could be a money-winner, with the right script and director of course, and the right budget. No Asylum movie version, please! But, I'm unsure if a series may be unsupported due to the failure of Terra Nova, and the time-travel element may be criticised for similarities to Primeval.

Dinosaurs themselves though are definitely not approaching the saturation point that Zombies seems to be reaching at the moment, so that does work in it's favour.
