2 TNG lit questions?

1. What book does all the Tezwa (I think that's how it is spelled) happen.

2. Are there any books that take place between Gen and FC in regards to the building if the Enterprise E basically a transition novel?

Ship of the Line by Diane Carey.

There is a site called Memory Beta that has all the non-canon information in one handy location. :techman:

About your first question, the Tezwa stuff happens in the "A Time To..." series. Specifically in "A Time to Kill" / "A Time to Heal" by David Mack. I've still not gotten around to reading them but I've heard they're very good.

But just to warn you, SotL is pretty much ignored by the modern continuity. I don't know how much it deals with the actual building of the E-E and the transition to it, but there is the E-Book miniseries Slings & Arrows, which covers the first year of the ship's service.

Nothing about the building of the ship in Slings and Arrows. It begins with the E-E already in service.

It's...meh. The plot is somewhat unbelievable, and there's a lot of sailing references thrown in, not to mention some rather unnecessary Kirk worship.

no bad mouthing KIRK he's a great captin . man of action . ship of the line was a great book . got mine sighned by kelsey grammer . great guy .

It's a shame because when you cut it down to the core ideas, it wasn't *that* bad as a concept:

Launch of EE
Return of Captain Bateson/Bozeman
Follow-up to Chain of Command

there's nothing wrong with all 3 of those happening in the same novel but...

all the nautical references, the way it was so "easy" for Picard to defeat Madred, myriad other problems...

I dunno, I can think of at least half a dozen other Trek Authors who I would rather have written it!
