1v100 beta tonight for U.S. and Canada!

Anyone else participate in last week's beta session? I played the full two hours and had a blast despite playing in the crowd and being matched up with a bunch of random people since none of my buddies were playing then.

I'm looking forward to tonight's session as well, although I'm waiting on some friends to see how my schedule plays out. Curious to see what kinds of E3 trivia Microsoft comes up with, especially considering the number of questions about Nintendo and Sony content last week...very surprising they included those at all.

IMO, this is Microsoft's most successful attempt at luring in the casual gamers yet. It's so refreshing considering the shooter-heavy 360 lineup.

Yeah, I tried it yesterday and it's fun... even if you're stuck in the crowd. Still, I kind of wish that they ran concurrent games so that you had a greater chance of actually getting into the 100.

I think that's the idea though--keep people playing with the goal of getting into the 100 or the 1. If everyone got into the 1 or 100 right away, that might thin out the herd and not give them the eyes on the ads.

It's already been noted that Microsoft is going to reset the stats weekly so that everyone has an equal shot of getting in at the beginning of each week, and it's not just the people who can devote a ton of time to play all the extended play sessions. I was annoyed that in one of yesterday's sessions, a guy who just started playing in my group of 4 got into the mob while I still haven't been part of the mob after playing in most of the sessions so far. Damn you, Microsoft!

Yeah, and I suppose it makes the allure of getting onto the stage or being the one that much greater... but 101 people out of a crowd of 100,000? Gack.
