1st Season Blooper Reel

Star Trek's 1st season blooper reel contains a narration that begins with "Ladies and gentlemen, due to circumstances beyond our control, the program originally scheduled at this time will not be presented . . ." Does anyone know who provided this narration? It doesn't sound like any of the series actors, nor does it sound like Gene Roddenberry. Perhaps another producer?

That's not the original blooper reel, but rather one that was created specifically for the Venice Film Festival. That opening narration was probably done either by the provider of the bloopers, or a member of the Film Festival staff.

Thanks for the info. I didn't think this was actually related to the Venice Film Festival, just figured that was part of the blooper reel's "humor." Any idea what year this might have been shown at the film festival?

Saw a bloopers reel at my first con in the 70s. Good times.

Sounds like a generic network narration for a program that was scheduled but for whatever reason won't be shown.
