And I wonder who Captain Thomas Johnson Jr. is who's said to be Captain of the Enterprise-B.

Of course Harriman was something of a flake... he screwed up a shakedown cruise, lost the lives of several hundred refugees and the life of Starfleet's Big Giant Head, er... Most Famous Captain. :p

It is entirely possible... even though these things really weren't his fault... that he was quietly moved aside and someone else assumed command.

Pure non-canon speculation on my part.

Awesome, I've been looking for that poster myself, my mom had it on the wall when I was a kid and I'd look at it for hours and hours, It made me a trekkie!!!

Yeah with a difference of a foot in length, I wonder what the deal is...?

OK, the thread kinda went off topic with nostalgia... I went ahead and ordered the poster from Intergalactic Trading Co., it's the largest one out there. If it meets my personal inspection I'll recommend it. If not I'll order it from some place else let you all know.

For a while there I had every sciPubTech Trek cutaway up in our hallway at home.

I'd happily buy the Enterprise-E/FC poster off you if you still have it and are willing to sell. Can't find it anywhere.

After a nearly a decade I now finally reach the rank of Commodore!

Now, once again, back on topic... remember that?

I spoke to the folks at Intergalactic Trading Co. and they say it's genuine, made in a larger size to accommodate other large cutaway posters in the Trek collection. I'm thrilled to know I'll have an even better poster that the one I used to have! :bolian:

Ok, last post unless there are any questions.

Got it in the mail today, it's perfect! I totally recommend it. Love it! :techman:

Glad you got yours. They are very cool. :)

Here's mine in my garage...

Plenty of room in bedroom, also plenty of taste so it's in the garage. Maybe once I get my mancave fixed up a little more it will move in there.

I've had this poster for 6 years, been rolled up for the last 2 years (got damaged along the bottom, along with my voyager one, luckily just damaged on the white border.. plan on cutting the white off now, and framing it)

But... has anyone else noticed that some of the hull details are excatly like the bigger ertl model, 1/1400th scale, some of the grid lines on the exterior of the model are just like the panel lines in the picture, must have given the picture maker a model to work from.

Love the poster anyway

I just joined here and found this discussion thread. I too have the large NCC 1701-D poster. We got it back in the '90s, and had it professionally framed at that time (cost us around $200 at the time!). The frame is 27" x 51". I now would like to sell it to someone out there who would be able to appreciate this great poster! The poster itself is still in mint condition as it's been inside the frame since we bought it. The poster is covered by plexiglass instead of glass. If you know anyone who might be interested, hit me up at <<email removed by moderator>>.

GEAAAAHHH!!! ZOMBIE THREAD!!! RUN!!!!!

(board rules frown on resurrecting old threads, read the FAQ. Selling things is a no no as well)

(board rules frown on resurrecting old threads,

See, I don't get that. She did a search for an existing thread on the subject. Most newbies would have started a new thread, at which point they would have been attacked for not using the Search function. You've seen it happen.

So who's right?

I rarely see people attacked for creating new threads unless there is a similar topic on the same page. Regardless, in this case, to revive a thread just to try and sell something? nope, not a good reason.
