12 years ago today, we lost the Moon

I was bummed that there wasn't a Space: 1999 marathon on the Sci Fi channel on Sept. 13, 1999. They totally blew it.

No, no surprise there, completely fucking up the single most obvious thing, like.....ever.

"Sci-Fi Channel" pretty much says it all.

sumbitches. :scream:

...in a slightly similar move,
I can't believe EON didn't release a Bond "007" movie in 2"007".

I'm not bummed, I only got cable in 2000 :p

I can't ever remember seeing this on TV as a kid. I can remember UFO alright and of course the supermarionation series, but never this. A clip here and there, but no full episodes until ITV4 started reshowing them two or three years ago and then I picked up season 1 for cheap on DVD.

I thought they were hoping to have Quantum of Solace out in 2007 for that very reason, but couldn't pull it off due to Daniel Craig's schedule?

Knight Rider 2010 got ignored last year as well.

I was bummed there wasn't a Babylon 5 marathon five minutes ago.

Man they suck.

Everyone's gonna be holding out for Seaquest 2032 in 21 years time.

Only if they had the broadcast rights to the show. If the rights were actually held by, I dunno, Oxygen or BBC Kids then THEY blew it, not the Sci-Fi Channel.

Anyway, as I recall on Sept. 13/99 there was a big Space: 1999 convention in which the Message from Moonbase Alpha mini-episode debuted so it wasn't ignored.

There was likely a number of reasons, but the first talked about release date for QoS was summertime 2008.

Honestly, I'm somewhat surprised they didn't push Casino Royale to summer 2007 to capitalize on that.
