So now there's new "rules" pertaining to fan films that are related to Star Trek.

Nice to know. Will this be the end of fan films?

These new rules are a bit excessive, in my opinion.

So a fan film is never allowed to tell a story longer than 30 minutes, nor to tell a story involving technology/aliens that wasn't already popular enough in the shows to have its own official merchandise, nor to have any kind of contribution from anyone who's ever actually worked on Star Trek... Do they know there's a difference between fan films and fan music videos?
