I'm happy that all the lights worked after all the manhandling of painting. I'm totally bummed that the motor in the nacelle broke before I took any pictures. Well, it looks okay without the spinny thing in still pictures. And yep, I went with TMP purple for the warp engine.

Lotsa photos here:

The modifications to the Azrael to make her a less typical Saladin is truly the icing on the cake.

Sucks that the motor in the nacelles conked out before you could even show them working though.

I take it its named after the one in the Starship Farragut ep? ;)

Best looking TOS Destroyer in all of the Internet here :) :techman:

The name is taken from Franz Joseph's original list of names in the 1975 ST Tech Manual!

I managed to replace the broken motor without destroying the destroyer. Maybe I'll take some video this weekend.

Ahh i guess they did too then ^_^;

Hmm I need my Trek books more often as i have the 1986 copy of it still.

Best of the Bashers strikes again! Phenomenally great work as usual.

Yeah. I think I accept most of Forbin's bashes in my personal canon.

The sauce mounted deflector is the best solution I've ever seen, love it.

Somebody did a bash (or at least a drawing) with the deflector at the bottom of the neck, above the nacelle. I thought that was elegant. I like this idea for the deflector just as much. I always thought something was "wrong" with having the deflector dish mounted to the middle of the saucer. Of course, I also thought the sensor dome was the phaser bank.

Now there's a nice compliment! Thanks! :)

That was me too, but it was based on Warped9's design, which was based on Masao's pre-TOS designs.
