ENT - .....none. I just can't! If I picked one, than I would be acknowledging the show's existence!
I'm not going to defend this show because I'm not a fan of it or anything, but I would like to recommend that you check out the episodes "In a Mirror, Darkly" parts 1 and 2, since your avatar implies that you're a fan of "The Tholian Web". This episode is, among other things, a vague sequel to that episode. It is also an excellent almost feature-length Star Trek saga that I believe is so great it almost singlehandedly justifies Enterprise's existence and makes it a show I like more than Voyager. I've only seen three episodes of Enterprise (and I hated the other one) and I've seen about half a dozen from Voyager, but this one automatically puts Enterprise in my good graces, despite whatever other offenses it has committed against the Star Trek franchise.
I like how your thread titles are enticing and mysterious and then the question is always so mundane I don't even write an answer. Well, except for this....at least it's not an answer!
There's something I've been meaning to say for awhile but was always too lazy to say, and now this post has inspired me to say it. Robert, I really enjoy your threads. I think you come up with a lot of refreshingly original topics for discussion that lead to a lot of entertaining and thought-provoking conversations about Star Trek.
I think the answers in this thread would be more intriguing if people came up with selections that weren't already released (or scheduled to be released) on "fan collective" or "best of" sets. I mean, I love "Yesterday's Enterprise" and "Trials and Tribble-Ations" as much as the next guy, but thinking back to the thread's original question of ideas for a forthcoming DVD release, how about some episodes that haven't already been released on Star Trek DVD collections several times?
It pisses me off when I keep rebuying the same episode on different sets ("All Good Things...", for example, is on both the "Q Fan Collective" and the "Time Travel Fan Collective"). Given this new criteria, here are my choices (the common ground among them is that they all have nice character moments, as well as good action sequences, and are some favourites of mine that haven't appeared on Fan Collectives or "Best of" releases):
Star Trek -
"Journey to Babel"
Star Trek: The Next Generation -
"The Hunted"
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine -
"To the Death"
I haven't seen enough episodes from the other three series to make picks for them.
