“Enterprise Logs” Anthology

Oh yeah, you're right. I remember there was a "Robau Facts" meme like the Chuck Norris one for a while.
I remember that whole Robau thing started up while I was away from the BBS for a while, and it utterly mystified me when I returned. I even started up a "I Don't Get the Robau Love" thread in an attempt to understand where it was coming from.
April wearing a cardigan on duty does seem to be popular in all the novels depicting him.
I've never much cared for that idea, quite frankly.

However, Carey actually did the first two stories in the anthology, and that was the second. The first one was about a real historical Enterprise captain during the American Revolution, and it's a more satisfying and less ethically problematical story.

One of the ships from the American fleet at Valcour, the Philadelphia, is on display at the Museum of American History in Washington, and I enjoy looking at it every time I visit. The wreck of the Philadelphia suggests what the Enterprise would have looked like.

Spock realizing he had feelings for a woman that he acknowledged he helped raise was creepy. I swear the Pocket Books offices were stoned around the time they had him marry Saavik but keep the Pandora Principle in continuity. Either was fine but together they are a bit grooming.
