I have a bit of a problem with La'an being bullied (And Spock in st2009)

The point is that, if you can replicate meat, there is no possible way to ethically kill sentient life forms for food. It is categorically unethical if it is something you're doing by choice instead of by necessity.

I have a bit of a problem with La'an being bullied (And Spock in st2009)

I've cared for animals my whole life without eating them. Cat meat would probably be gross as hell.

I have a bit of a problem with La'an being bullied (And Spock in st2009)

So, uh, don't eat all of the plants and fruits in existence? That seems like a pretty easy mistake to avoid.

How would you retcon Strange New Worlds?

But generally they haven't been cut off from those ethnic groups for a century or more.

Things Lower Decks should bring back

People change careers in Starfleet all the time.

Am I the Only One Who Desperately Craves a Captain Shaw Series?

I don't know anything about them except for Shaw, Seven, and La Forge. How are they "fleshed out"?

Spoilers Would a live-action Lower Decks work?

Not as a broad Rick & Morty/Family Guy style comedy, no.

Things Lower Decks should bring back

I choose to interpret this comment as proposing that Adam Scott's guy is a younger Liam Shaw, and I choose to agree with that proposal.

Why no movie for Deep Space Nine??

That storyline seems waaaaaaay too comic-booky for a Star Trek show. Something about the idea of bringing together all the different pseudo-gods feels more like something that would happen in the DC Universe. I'm not sure Star Trek, as a TV show, really wants to take a hard look at how many...

Why no movie for Deep Space Nine??

There was, but not really for the main DS9 cast. The Dominion War seemed like it had plenty of stories to tell away from DS9. This is where I'm at. The TOS and TNG movies made sense in theory because none of those characters really had strongly defined arcs that went anywhere. Everyone on DS9...

    Poll Worst DS9 couple.

Garak tortured Dukat's father into a confession, which then led to Dukat's father's execution. That was established in the very first Ziyal/Garak episode.

    Poll Worst DS9 couple.

??? Garak/Ziyal. Absolute nonsense couple solely introduced because Rick Berman was terrified people would notice that Garak was gay.

Spoilers Would anyone be opposed to Odo showing in Picard

Absolutely not possible. Nothing about the way they've handled this season suggests that there would be any interest in that kind of character assassination.

How would you retcon Strange New Worlds?

But what would she have heard? The war was a hundred years ago. It's difficult enough to buy that Stiles would have such virulent hatred over a war from a hundred years ago. Does anyone hate Austrians because their great grandfather died in World War I, much less because they heard about the...

How would you retcon Strange New Worlds?

I can't tell if you're being a troll or if you genuinely believe that we were meant to think that an entire sentient species with its own language and culture consisted of 18 people, but either way there's not really much point in continuing this.

How would you retcon Strange New Worlds?

So your position is that the planet losing its atmosphere did not threaten any other Boraalans?

Am I the Only One Who Desperately Craves a Captain Shaw Series?

Push what boundaries? We already had like a seventeen-member polycule on DS9

Am I the Only One Who Desperately Craves a Captain Shaw Series?

That was introduced in S1 though.

    The Gorn…

"Their own ends" being...what? Telling a fun story? How many times did TOS alter its own continuity for the same reason, or for no reason at all? Tell you what, let's ask James R. Kirk. You know, the captain of the United Earth vessel Enterprise? The one that's 900 years in the future, according...

I don't, but it's more likely than not.
