Chiming in to say I loved the beginning of the 5th ep with Lila and 5 trapped in time and falling in love with each other. I don't think it even had any dialog. It reminded me of the intro for Up. Both told so much story in a few minutes.
And the song matched perfectly!
I'm having difficulty reading the claim. You mean if there are people who don't like DSC but like SNW? If that's the case I'm one of them and there are plenty more. Maybe not here.
SNW seems to be more universally liked. DSC isn't but the people who like DSC seem to be more invested(?) in the...
I hope so. Nothing against him but I'm fine with the MCU moving on from some legacy characters. This finale kinda says it all for Loki. As fantastic as the character is, his story feels quite finished.
Absolutely correct. By now there's enough data points. Add Andor to that list as well for me. Mando was 50/50. But yeah....very true.
I suppose it does depend on the reaction one gets from these. To use your analogy, if you had a bad experience at a restaurant(got sick, rude staff, etc...)...
That's very true. I would say that as a fan I want to be informed because I like SW, ST, etc...so I watch it.
I also think the word 'hate' gets to be overused. I am sure there are people that hate what SW has become or a particular series, etc....For me it's more of disappointment. I can and...
I can answer that. I'm hoping that "the next ep" will redeem the show; that somehow something happens that makes everything that we've watched already make sense.
I like Star Wars. I like Star Trek. I like Marvel. I like DC. I want better writing and not what we're getting.
And yes....I'll...
Maybe. Maybe they didn't have the budget for this series. Or they just didn't know how to write the story with her having it. Idk.
It just would be nice to have had an explanation as to why she didn't have what seems to be an integral part of Mando warrior stuff, one she already had.
To me that means the plot needs to be better/smarter. Or else explain why she doesn't have a piece of gear she had. A cool piece of gear at that.
My internal explanation is that it's too expensive to have visuals with her flying around. Special f/x, writing, etc...
My summary: 8 episodes for a story that could have been told in 4.
But...media companies need to stretch out content.
The tragedy is Ray Stevenson; a solid actor with a great character that went practically nowhere. I was a lot more interested in his story than anyone else's. Somehow his...
Ooooohhhh.....that's a good point about Asaaj. By the time we see her at the end of CW she's abandoned the Sith. Same with Maul. They're just doing their own thing. Granted, they're not good guys. Maul isn't for sure but I'm unclear about Asaaj. Amoral?
But Baylan seems to have some higher...
I find him to be an intriguing character and I want more of him. I'm not good with the adjectives here but I find a certain gravitas, forlorn, maybe a touch of whimsy.
I can't see him being quite a Sith. He's something else. It's too bad we only get two more eps with him. RIP.
I guess I'm not the only who didn't care for the episode. LOL!!!
The one thing that keeps bugging me is that this show should have been called 'Sabine', not Ahsoka. It's her story we're following. Ahsoka doesn't have a story so far.
I felt like it was a good send off. Like a "last hurrah" of sorts with the remaining cast. B5 has been unlucky in that perspective. So many gone.
If this is the last of B5 we see then I appreciate it for what it is. And if it opens the door to the possibility of more B5 then even the better.
I'm a huge Rebels fan. I agree with everything you critique in your post. Same with low expectations given what Disney+ has produced with Star Wars and Marvel(a whole of streeeeetched out story line with little happening).
I have to add: Qui Gon Jinn has got to be one of the weakest Jedis in...
No, but Rebels is. Everything we've seen so far in Ahsoka has Rebels as its backstory.
Having said that, the eps make it quite clear what the storyline is about but from an emotional impact then yes a lot is missing if you're not familiar with the Rebels characters.
