I actually liked it..! Thought the humour worked well, and I felt there was a lot more depth beneath the surface involving themes such as redemption. I loved the characters, and would I want to see more if this were the pilot for a season.? Hell yeah..!
I do wonder when those surprise legacy characters will show up that Mike had promised.. 😉 it’s been 6 episodes already and I don’t think we’ve seen any yet this season… they’re probably saving these for the last few episodes..! 😊
Things that kind of worry me this season….
- hardly any Saru…
- we will never hear or see anything about the state of the Klingon Empire in the 32nd century…..
Other than that I am loving this season!!!
Was re-watching S02E01 ‘Brother’ recently, and I still feel it’s one of the very best post ‘17 Treks ever made. Also, what I find really amazing is that everything was done using conventional green screen work; there was no AR wall yet…. It’s really stunning when you think about it
Got the UK edition of S3 blu ray, and it’s not an MOD like the US version AND it’s got a slipcover..! Really happy I ordered it, was never satisfied with the US version!
Wow, really loved being back in the world of DSC! Maybe I just can't help but root for the underdog, but DSC has always been my favorite of the new shows, and this episode was just a great opener! I know Trek will probably never have SW-type budgets, and thus, something like the desert chase...
Since I live in Holland and we mostly have to wait a long time before something streams here (DSC has just recently been added to Sky Showtime), I couldn't help myself and I binge watched PRO S2 in one straight viewing..! Cannot wait to see it with the original English audiotracks, but I have...
