Nö.
But I can see the potential in one or the other episode to being stretched out to a two- or three-parter. Specifically "All Those Who Wander" could have seen a benefit. To give Hemmer more time and especially to flesh out the Gorn's civilisation some more, to increase their compatibility...
Man, wouldn't it be awesome if the actress portraying the villain turns out to be some serious heavy weight like Helen Mirren, Judy Dench or Meryl Streep?
Well, they technically have access to all the STO designs already, so you're probably right. But IF Ezri Dax should return one day, wouldn't it be awesome if they made it happen? I never got into the relaunch novels myself, but a bunch of fans would feel great joy... and gratitude*!
*Sorry.
This is a very important point that gets overlooked when talking about his character and his relationships. Since TOS-Kirk was usually a level headed and actually pretty prudent man, in order to show that he - being the hero - was also a hit with the other sex, the writers had to let the women...
I can't imagine the creator missing such an opportunity for recognition if approached by Paramount, regardless of the compensation. Although, it might be better to save that design for later when it could be used with greater impact, instead of letting it disappear in Enterprise F's shadow.
Ah...
Luna? Ehh, as far as novel-born designs are concerned, I've always liked the Vesta class more and I'd rather they canonise that sleek beauty instead of featuring the Luna some more. Already seen enough of that one, grumble grumble... Lol, darn Trekkies, never content!
But Trumbull? Never heard...
They probably held those pics back to use them later to hype up the season premiere. Because at least the EPS Network pic shows almost definitely the Stargazer. Same windows along the saucer's edge, same phaser banks, same bridge area shaping including window front.
The only difference seems to...
I'd suggest you read Christopher's comments regarding canon & continuity in the thread below. Some of the expressions you use - schisms in the fandom, black pill scorched earth - sound a tad extreme in this context, so a reevaluation of the issues you see might help getting to a more relaxed...
You're right, I was imprecise. The point I was trying to make is that eg the sexism present in TOS has already been pretty much retconned by SNW. And it will best be ignored going forward for the continuity's current form's sake.
Beverly finally came to the conclusion that something was wrong with the Universe for realz and tries to fix it. And the twist would be that she's actually right. "Fixing" the universe then turns out to be repairing or cleaning the timelines, which eventually only partially works but also not in...
I mean, he's got a point. I don't remember seeing huge Ferengi dongs and a second set of boobs on Troi in TNG - ergo, no Gene "Perpetuum Mobile"* Roddenberry involvement whatsoever, thankyouverymuch. /s
*This is my joke, and mine only!
Sounds pretty realistic. Similarly to how the Disco-era Shepard class was upgraded to the PIC-era Gagarin class. Although, the Connie would maybe need more tweaks. I'm not a STO player, but I've seen 25th century Connies created for the game.
