    S4 coming Nov 18!

Ok, much earlier than I expected...

    Intentions behind Archer?

And on some meta level, this really was his task. When I dream about the future, I really dream about an united manhood and ships, that boldly go where noone has gone before. Back then, Archer should be a 'link' between us and Trek's humanity in the 23rd and 24th century. He should be the guy...

Why do the Founder changelings always disguise themselves as Bashir?

Yepp. And if the writers of DS9 and VOY would have written it in another way, they would have. Of course, both sides have their share in the fact that such chances could not be played out better.

Why do the Founder changelings always disguise themselves as Bashir?

Yes, of course, it made sense, but on the other hand, it also could have been written in another way, e. g. when Zimmerman would have been shown as a more tolerant man. Don't get me wrong: I love "Message in a bottle' and the way, they played out the 'relationship' between the Doctor and his...

Why do the Founder changelings always disguise themselves as Bashir?

Yepp, two more examples where DS9 and VOY didn't fit the way they could have...

Things Lower Decks should bring back

I really miss the Dominion in all new Trek incarnations. At least, I want to see, if Morn really owns Quark's old bar at this time...

News Annie Wersching will play the Borg Queen in Season 2 of Picard

Please, don't dude on me, when your examples both aren't as convincing for me as you may think. Of course, in Data's case, it was a dream/simulation, but when it comes to Picard's new android body, I never bought the explenation. In fact, I think, that this transformation of Picard into an 'old...

    Beverly Crusher is an idiot

I see your point, but then again, the other threads have at least their arguments and their observations. Here, on the other hand, we have nothing at all except an assertion made without any context.

News Annie Wersching will play the Borg Queen in Season 2 of Picard

In a way, yes, me too, but then again, I think... Maybe, it also would have been a bit curious for the Borg Queen to stay in such an 'old body' and I hope, that they will address this fact (especially, in comparism to Picard, who wanted to stay 'old' even as an android).

Gul Evek. Most underrated Cardassian. Agree?

Yeah, you're right, thanks a lot (even though I think it's a pity that you didn't want to contribute anything else) :) ;)

Gul Evek. Most underrated Cardassian. Agree?

For me, Gul Evek was always a cool guy, just because he represented a (sadly) very short phase in the Trek history, where three ongoing series were 'outrageously modern' in their narrative structure: a story, which began in TNG, led into a DS9 two-parter, came back to TNG and gave VOY a kind of...

    Intentions behind Archer?

It's hard to tell. Intentional fallacy, death of the author, Qu’est-ce qu’un auteur?... choose your weapon. For me, Archer's characterization as a 'kid of anyone' reflected the status of mankind in the 22th century as a 'young, maybe childish player in the galaxy'.

The most moving episode of DS9?

Maybe, seen as a whole episode, some others are more moving, but the flashbacks in 'What you leave behind' get me everytime at the end of a new rerun...

Star Trek XIV: What do you want?

Well, of course, for you, I'm not able to know, but for me, I can assure you, it definitely is as nessecary as another movie can be (of course, 'nessecarity' always is a bit of a difficult category, when it comes to movies and series). ;)

Star Trek XIV: What do you want?

For me, the Kelvin timeline or better: the Kelvin TOS crew, needs one last 'hurrah' at the end. STXI was such a promising movie with much 'epicness' in it, that never was played out in the way, it deserved. In fact, every Kelvin movie just felt a bit 'smaller' than the last one. So for me, they...

Looking back at Star Trek 2009

For me, STXI was the beginning of a new, epic era in STAR TREK... not only was it was never that epic like in STXI, but it wasn't a real era either...

    Beyond the 5th anniversary

For me, it had also been 5 years of some uncertainty about how I should rate the movie. As an adventure on the crew's way, it works like a good and solid episode somewhere in the middle of the season. As a possible finale of the Abramsverse era or even for the crew, it would definetly suck in my...
