World War 3 begins in 2026 according to Memory Alpha. What we will be seeing in Picard takes place two years prior in 2024 per the preview for Season 2.
I love this series and loved this episode.
My only qualm is (like others have mentioned before) is how they handle distances. Last week they traveled 4000 light years but galaxy wise, that’s not a big distance. So that means we started near the gamma quad already. I wish they would have jumped...
Enjoyed this one quite a bit. I’m glad they addressed some of the potential problems with Zora being sentient. I loved how Stamets was the skeptic.
When are we going to get names and homeworlds for all the cool new aliens we saw?
Rated this one a 3. And yes, I LOVE this series and it’s characters but this episode didn’t do it for me. while I loved how Data grew and became emotional over time, I’m not too crazy about Zora doing it. Hello, did we forget about the M5 Multitronic Unit? What if Zora has a bad emo moment and...
I agree if it’s just another story during the series. However, if it ties closely to other great episodes (eg Tales of the Dominion War novels) then yeah I’m in. Or if they help tie up some loose end from a previous episode.
and yeah Lost Era books are AWESOME. I wonder if there’s any chance of...
I enjoyed it. I really like how they keep showing species from the original series (Tellarites and Orions). I enjoyed the whole Federation and Ni’Var problem but I expected it to take a couple of more episodes to resolve. Cool to see Dr. Culber going into more of a counselor role instead of CMO...
So a Brikar (thanks Peter David!) gets introduced on Prodigy.
Now the term Arie'mnu from the Diane Duane novel “The Wounded Sky” was mentioned in this weeks Discovery episode.
Having been an avid Treklit reader since 1988 (my first novel was “The IDIC Epidemic”) I absolutely LOVE this!
Anyone...
I really enjoyed this one. Best one of the season so far.
Loved seeing another Starfleet ship of the era.
Super happy that they brought the Qowat Milat into this century. The hints of Ni’Var rejoining the Federation was great.
Really loved the meld between T’Rina and Book which helped him begin...
Voyager: Echoes by Smith, Rusch and Hoffman.
quite good, Voyager encounters parallel universes and I really like that since you see them experiencing similar elements to the “Parallels” TNG episode and other novels that deal with parallel universes.
I watched it and I LOVED it. It’s visually amazing and the music was absolutely perfect. The story is cool thus far and I loved the continuity with showing a Kazon and they mentioned the Window of Dreams which was a star cluster mentioned in an episode of Voyager. My only concern/question which...
Anybody have any idea if Mack, Ward or anyone else is working on some kind of “fix” or consolidation so that Destiny could somehow “fit” with what we’ve seen on Picard? That would be damned sweet....
