Agreed. I saw some speculation about this on other boards and I think it would be an excellent way to turn the whole Section 31 premise on its head. It might even appease those purists who seem to have a fundamental problem with the concept of the Federation having a Section 31 arm at all.
My 13 year old questioning son is all over the Adira/Grey storyline. That's what he's most engaged in and excited about (he also picked up on the Calypso hints and loves the idea of a sentient ship - for him it's something new since he's not familiar with Andromeda or Farscape yet).
I think...
1. Burnham and Saru tied. Don't make me choose!
3. Stamets and Tilly tied. Ditto!
Honorable mentions: Cornwall, L'Rell, Spock and Empress Georgiou
Lorca and Pike are great, just not the kinds of characters I gravitate towards.
Really enjoyed it. It was beautifully shot, intriguing and fun. I think Book is a great addition to the show. Was skeptical at first that they were going to make him a Han Solo analogue, but his back story and the plot twist about his 'cargo' sold it for me. I'm also curious about his affinity...
I'm one of those weird Trek fans who thoroughly enjoyed DS9's 'Move Along Home' episode. It was fun. I tend to fast forward the Grand Nagus episodes, though.
While I think all the serious pearl clutching over Maddox recast is a bit ridiculous, I do appreciate the passion and good humour in this thread. Brian Brophy seems a good egg, and hopefully he appreciates the enthusiastic support and recognition he seems to be getting right now.
I like her, too. I actually really enjoyed the episodes which touched upon married life (its ups and downs) with Keiko and Miles.
Edited to add: The one where it's from Clone Miles's perspective is really creepy when you consider Keiko's position.
For me, Raffi's rant seemed a way for her to imply that he'd had something productive and familiar to return to. Whereas she hadn't. She'd burned too many bridges. She hadn't had a family or home to go back to. As we later find out in the Free Cloud episode.
Probably not a fair assessment...
Interesting. I thought it was pretty obvious that they'd had a former romantic relationship. Or at least one which had been pretty darned intimate/close.
Jay calling Seven Annika hit a nerve. Seven reveals that she confided to Jay about Icheb, then that trust was betrayed. The level of...
I'm a little irked by the idea that Jurati's contribution to the Twin project would be assumed to be a biological or reproductive one. That should not be the first assumption or theory about her role in creating synthetic life, surely.
I mean, she's meant to be one of Earth's leading...
This has gone too far!!! Have ye already forgotten Connolly? That most revered Blue Shirt of the smarmy tongue and Rimmer-like mien. Oh, he who was splatted before his time? Shame!
Don't forget the EMH kept popping up, asking Jurati what the nature of her psychiatric emergency was.
But maybe it's a non emergency specialist? Addiction or depression counseling?
Actually, that could be a cool scene: Rios impersonating the EMH, getting a confession of sorts from her, then Jurati trying to desperately shut him off and erase his program.
