    Picard series confirmed post-Romulus

Are people really blind here. It's obvious what the story will be. Huge enemy is gathering against the known civilization. Admiral Riker has no choice, he has to ask Picard to come back and help against this huge huge threat. Picard who left Star fleet after a series of personal things (death...

News Georgiou Section 31 Series officially announced:

As a DS9 fan. I say. "Finally!" I can't wait. If people still want the ridged alien forehead of the week there's The Orville. Star Trek seems to have taken the step into the 21st century and it couldn't have happened sooner.

Star Trek and Cannon... darned confusing!

I'll just rock your world and inform you that Webster is part of canon. Have fun.

    Webster part of Canon

That's a very good point actually. Not to mention the Department of Temporal Investigations should have visited Worf.

    Webster part of Canon

So I just found out that Webster is part of the Star Trek Canon. Was this new to anyone else or just me who was hopelessly behind?

    Avoiding Franchise Fatigue

He has a point. The problem before was that every show was exactly the same except DS9. I could barely make it through Voyager because it felt like a sleezy crappy version of TNG. Same with the first season of ENT. Make the shows different and you have something good and people won't feel they...

Should the Picard Show ignore ST-2009 destruction of Romulus?

No, I feel that the destruction of Romulus could give a lot of cool storylines, Maybe the Klingons saw the chance and invaded, starting a big war, or the romulans became hyper agressive with what they had invading parts of space, of the Romulans became the gypsies of the galaxy, roaming around.

Contest: VOTE Changing the make-up of the original 7 cast in a reboot/re-imagination of TOS?

That would just piss off people, and at this day and age, Star Trek does not want to alienate fans.

Which close combat style is trained in Starfleet?

Professional Wrestling. It got recognized for how functional and effective it was around the year 2110,

Definite New Series/Limited Series with Patrick Stewart Returning

Well I would be very surprised if they don't make him bitter because of Data's "death".

Definite New Series/Limited Series with Patrick Stewart Returning

Well I am sure he will get Data back. With todays CGI Spiner would have no trouble playing him again.

    How long until... SHATNER?

Captain.Kirk.Will.Return.He.Is.Still.A.Cultural...Icon. Just hope they hurry up before Shatner can't play him anymore

Spoilers Yeah... I give up - Star Trek has abandoned philosophical naturalism - it's depressing/juvenile

It's a very valid defense. Discovery is Star Trek for the masses of 2018, whereas old Star Trek (which I never said was bad) simply won't work today. I love old Star Trek but comparing it to Discovery makes it cringe worthy.

Spoilers Yeah... I give up - Star Trek has abandoned philosophical naturalism - it's depressing/juvenile

This all reminds me of those guys shouting how the new Star Wars movies ruined their childhood. Maybe it's time to accept something else then a crew, 1 member of the crew is the "alien outsider". Ridged forehead alien of the week, and some social (usually left leaning liberal) moral cookie of...

How will the spore drive fit into canon?

I see it canned in the same warehouse as the Ark of the Covenant.

    Discovery and "The Orville" Comparisons

Orville is fun to watch, but it's a painful reminder how old Star Trek doesn't work today. Orville would have been great as normal Star Trek 30 years ago.
