    Favorite fan-made music videos?

My husband made this vid - It's not online anywhere but it is pretty ... Shiny.

What Did You Have For Dinner Last Night?

That sounds delicious, Rubarbodendron! I might have to try that sometime. I made cheese tortellini, portobello mushroom tomato sauce w/onions, peppers, and chunks of chicken, and steamed broccoli. It must have been good, because there are absolutely no leftovers today. :)

    Bizarre Foods You've Eaten

Very tasty in a pile of mashed potatoes, too.

    Bizarre Foods You've Eaten

I like haggis. Is that weird? We'd have to see the sort of hat to determine how weird that one is. I think a fez would rate higher than a baseball cap, for instance.

    Bizarre Foods You've Eaten

 My friend actually won an award with that recipe, at a 50s-themed party in 1999 ... "Recipe Least Unlikely to Survive Into the 21st Century"! It was even more gross when she made it, because she couldn't get the jello to jell, and ended up serving it as a dip. She asked me...

Beer/Ale/Lager - What are your favorites

I drank a lot of Moosehead when I lived in New England. When I moved to California I discovered Sierra Nevada - love their Pale Ale! And Anchor Steam. Our local taproom was Firestone-Walker, and they make a great ale (the Double Barrel). But my personal favorite was their porter. They renamed...

Yes, I believe he could stomp on you these days by barely lifting his knee. I predict he'll be the tallest one in the family by the end of the year.

    Bizarre Foods You've Eaten

Tuna lemon jello casserole. One of my mom's specialties when I was a kid. It strikes fear into the hearts of my entire family whenever I threaten to make it ...

    Your latest purchases, cont.

 Well, the mildew-resistant curtain cost $10 and didn't resist the mildew, so I replaced it with one that cost $2.99. I figure three of those will last at least as long as the expensive one, and I can just throw them away when they start looking grungy without feeling too wasteful.

    PICTURE POST!

Thanks! I want one like that for myself. :) And now two photos in honor of my youngest child, who graduated from 8th grade today *sniffle* Today: And yesterday (okay ... 2001, actually):

    Your latest purchases, cont.

A new shower curtain liner, to replace the previous mildew-resistant one (which was covered with mildew). :vulcan:

    1001 Children's Books

My daughter will be happy "Hey, Al" made the list - that's one of her very favorite books. It's hilarious and bizarre! Oh, that's a shame. There are so many fantastic books out there for pre-schoolers.

    1001 Children's Books

Thanks, Miss Chicken! I was really glad to see all those classic Australian books in there as well - my husband's family is from Australia and our kids read many of those books, particularly the ones by Mem Fox. Is her Time For Bed included? Or Wilfrid Gordon McDonald Partridge, Koala Lu...

    1001 Children's Books

Oh my gosh, I'm getting such happy flashbacks reading all these book names! The older ones I read myself as a kid, and the newer ones I read aloud to my children. Here are a few of our favorites - some may have been mentioned already. The Indian in the Cupboard series (they got better as they...
