My Trek-themed PC is ready to leave drydock

I just put the finishing touches on my Trek-themed PC. The warp core was made by WarpSpeed3DPrinting on Etsy (etsy.com/shop/WarpSpeed3dPrinting) and I had a ton of help making the LCARS display graphics from LCARS GFX (lcarsgfx.wordpress.com).

    A Tribute to The Enterprise-D

JTVFX depicted something like that in their Wolf 359 Prelude video:

    A Tribute to The Enterprise-D

Thank you! Indeed, each scene was meticulously put together, sometimes taking a few iterations even after rendering completely to really fine-tune things. I had found myself rushing past projects to meet a self-imposed due date, and I told myself that wouldn't be the case this time. I'm glad the...

    A Tribute to the Enterprise-D

I figured fans of TNG would appreciate this as much as those who frequent Fan Art. This is the final product of the last few months of work, pushing the boundaries of my skills and learning new ones along the way. The ships of Star Trek have always been as much characters of the show as the...

    A Tribute to The Enterprise-D

Here's the final product of the last few months of work, pushing the boundaries of my skills and learning new ones along the way. The ships of Star Trek have always been as much characters of the show as the crew are, and this is a tribute to my favorite of them all. If you haven't already...

    The Five-Year Mission

I decided to give the Grey Lady some love after discovering Lewis Niven's Blender model.

    NASCAR + Star Trek: Flyover

Thanks! My goal was to not fully show the ship until its big reveal as it performs its flyover, so you don't see it in full detail until that happens. Then the long shot of it flying into orbit from the surface was meant to be the "grand finale" It was a lot of fun to try and take the ideas I...

    NASCAR + Star Trek: Flyover

After much being said about how unlikely a Galaxy-class starship would successfully pull off a low-altitude flyby like this, I went ahead and expanded my idea while using Voyager. We know for a fact she can handle atmospheric flight.

For you, apparently. Because...that wasn't funny.

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x10 - "Life, Itself"

Totally missed my point and took me too literally. Never said they needed to kill Nazis. The Nazis getting killed was something dramatic that happened involving the arc. That's what this episode lacked, something dramatic happening involving the technology. But instead they said "Ya know what...

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x10 - "Life, Itself"

That had to be the most anti-climactic ending to a "search for a hidden treasure/relic" story of all time. At least the Arc of the Covenant killed some Nazis before they unceremoniously stuffed it into a warehouse.

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x03 - "Jinaal"

Lol so defensive. It was a simple nitpick about costuming, not an indictment of the show as a whole.

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x03 - "Jinaal"

Why what? It just seems inconsistent; Reno's unzipps to where the collar "flap" comes apart" while Culber's has it remain as one piece, which is how they all look when zipped up. If Reno zipped her's up you'd see a seam on her collar's rank placard-thing. My guess is the IRL reason is they...

Spoilers Star Trek: Discovery 5x03 - "Jinaal"

If it can be opened like Reno's why would anyone want it to open like Culber's?

Can the costume designers please make up their minds as to how these uniforms work when they're unzipped?

    Azure

In an attempt to rescue Kirk and McCoy, Captain Sulu takes the Excelsior deep within the Azure Nebula to avoid detection as she approaches Klingon Space.

I got to meet Paul Wesley!

I gifted my wife tickets to the Creation Entertainment convention for The Vampire Diaries franchise, and I was excited to inadvertently meet the new James T. Kirk in the process. We watched his panel with Iam Somerhalder (where sadly nobody asked about Trek and I wasn't able to get to the front...

    The Archer's Arrival - Teaser

I'm not 100% sure how I want to continue this but I do plan to do so in the form of a 1-2 minute animation. The Archer was part of the battle group mentioned on-screen in Nemesis so it could feature the fest of the fleet arriving as well, or this could take place at a different point in the...

Galaxy Class Starship Development Project - Saucer Separation Field Test

I'm a big fan of NX-designated ships too, and if I ever build a model of the Excelsior it'll definitely be the TSFS version. Funny you should mention the user name, I've been meaning to put in for a name change. I've gone by Flux Capacitor here for a while but I don't use it anywhere else. I...

Galaxy Class Starship Development Project - Saucer Separation Field Test

Thanks! I definitely had that old Simon & Schuster feel in mind when I created them, and used TrekCore's library of TNG LCARS sounds, which may very well have been pulled from their games.
