The cycle of violence and the futility of the pursuit of vengeance is a big part of the story. Abby and her crew depart, and she looks miserable. She'd built this moment up in her mind for years, but when she finally exacted justice, she looked empty.

The trailers have revealed the gee-tar session and the two major flashbacks. Also, I didn't click at the time, but Ashley Johnson (OG Ellie) was the singer in the outro.
