  1. Worf's Beard

    Garak - Andrew Robinson’s portrayal

Quark ended up being one of my favourite characters (not up there, but near), but I didn't like him to start with. I think TNG did put me off the Ferengi and I saw them as one-note back then. However, DS9 did flesh them out, with Quark being different to his brother, ROM, while Nog wasn't either...

Discovery - Season 3 Episode 5 - Die Trying The episode was going OK, but it had to go down the Michael Burnham saved the day and is praised to high heaven. Annoying... The Reno and Stamets competitive to and fro was a high point, though. I'll soldier on.
  3. Worf's Beard

    Garak - Andrew Robinson’s portrayal

I'm currently reading that right now. It's so far been brilliant and Andrew Robinson knows how to write a compelling story. It's a good read that gives a more detailed and thorough investigation of his complex character. Elim Garak is my favourite character in DS9 (yes, even surpassing Worf for...

The Empath - TOS Hmm... not one of my favourites. Might have worked as a ballet in some scenes. Dancing Kirk with codpiece!

Pigged out today. After watching the third Star Trek Continues episode (Fairest of Them All), which I quite liked, I decided to watch both episodes of Enterprise's In a Mirror, Darkly. I'm not a great fan of Enterprise, but I did think that they had an interesting take on the mirror universe...

What was the first episode you have ever watched?

Can't tell you the exact episode, but it was TOS and watched in the early seventies on a black-and-white TV.

Is There in Truth No Beauty? - TOS Madness! But a good kind of madness. Good to see Diana Muldaur again... Also convenient that the Medusans were kind enough to call themselves (or allow themselves to be called) after beings in ancient Greek tales. ;)

Parallels - TNG Haven't seen this one in a while and wonder why I hadn't seen it sooner. Really interesting episode. Still trying to imagine a whole universe jammed solid with Enterprises. Worst traffic jam ever!
  12. Worf's Beard

    Dr. Crusher or Pulaski

I've just voted for Crusher. However, let me say that I've always appreciated Pulaski's stint on the Enterprise and agree that season one Crusher loses out to Pulaski. Still, as has been said above, Crusher gets better as the series goes on, and the fact that she's more familiar also counts, too...

Remember Me (TNG) Say what you like about Gates McFadden's acting, but she was very good in this episode. Really enjoy this one a lot and it has always been in my mind one of the best TNG episodes.

    Yesterday's Enterprise blooper??

Not answering for Gore-ac, but I also wouldn't want that blooper edited out. When I buy such discs, what I want is what was originally shown. I don't want something edited to fix such mistakes, because those mistakes are part of the actual show I got to love, warts and all. Anyway, such mistakes...

so THATS why some of the cast didn't like Diana Muldaur

I actually liked Pulaski's character. There was something a bit grating about her character that I actually appreciated. I have no problem with Beverley Crusher in the show, but it was good to see Pulaski brought in because I did find season one's Crusher a bit bland (she improved in later seasons).
