Currently enjoying a Sci-Fi classic "The Stars My Destination", by Alfred Bester. I have been reading older science fiction classics many current authors say influenced their writing. I would welcome a few more suggestions:D
Maybe I am crazy, but I enjoyed the overkill! I would think one show is enough now though. With so many sci-fi and fantasy fiction shows on TV, a Trek show with a ready made fan base is a no brainer.
Does the current pace of movie releases optimize profits for the ST franchise? I noticed Disney is about to pump out several movies for SW and there is a current TV show. I also read on some site they may do a live action program. Why don't the ST powers that be want to saturate the market like...
I had to think about this one for awhile. Since I could only vote for on I choose James Swallow, the author of my favorite Trek book "Cast No Shadow". Though Chris, Dave, and Kirsten have written some awesome books.
Very sad news. We are blessed to have had him influence our lives they way he has. As Doctor McCoy said in ST II "He's really not dead... as long as we remember him." Rest in peace my friend.
This is a great idea:bolian: Thanks to Netflix I am watching the show almost for the first time. It was on when I was younger and I only watched a few episodes. It's great binge watching the show from time to time and I must say I am hooked. Let's hope Fox can make this happen.
