Does anyone know what fonts (typefaces) were used for the name U.S.S. Enterprise and NCC-1701 on the new starship Enterprise in Star Trek (2009)? The fonts used for the names and registry numbers on the shuttlecraft? U.S.S. Kelvin?
Good to know that the name provoked this reaction. Like I said above, U.S.S. Investigator would have been named for HMS Investigator, the first ship to circumnavigate Australia.

I am in the process of outlining a fan-fiction project that occurs after the Dominion War in the year 2375 in which my characters operate an Intrepid-class starship. I have a short-list of names, but really cannot decide on which name I like best. Which name do you like the best?

Has it been established why Vulcan has a red sky? Is this due to dust particles in the atmosphere? Possibly from volcanic eruptions?
Is the 40 Eridani A system the accepted location for the planet Vulcan? 40 Eridani A is an orange main-sequence dwarf of spectral type K1.
I guess that they could have scratched out Q in the script and replaced it with Trelane. I presume that they could have gotten William Campbell to reprise Trelane if John DeLancie wasn't available. ;-)
That is just fan speculation because of the similar sounding Kzinti and the untrue story that Star Trek: The Animated Series was declared apocryphal because of "The Slaver Weapon" and a dispute with Larry Niven. Or that the Tzenkethi were created to portray the Kzinti in live action Star Trek...
It does make it very difficult to place the characters and/or the U.S.S. Enterprise in jeopardy in the story when a character who is omnipotent is included in the story.
Postscript:
Interesting speculation. The worlds settled by the Xindi and/or the other races that populate the Delphic Expanse could have been conquered or absorbed into the United Federation of Planets, Klingon Empire, and/or Romulan Star Empire if we presume that it was previously located in...
Had the Xindi already established a new homeworld by 2153 ( Star Trek: Enterprise Season Three). Or was the Xindi Council still attempting to locate a suitable planet to establish a new homeworld?
Where I am confused is that it seems that the Xindi launch an attack against Earth because the...
Had the Xindi already established a new homeworld by 2153 ( Star Trek: Enterprise Season Three) which you named New Xindus? Or was the Xindi Council still attempting to locate a suitable planet to establish a new homeworld?

I presume that this appointment of a Xindi-Reptilian means that New Xindus is a member of the United Federation of Planets.
Not necessarily. The incident involved just one Ilyrrian starship. Diplomats could explain that this was a desperate act of a single starship captain whose actions were...
What are your thoughts about the Xindi and the races inhabiting the former Delphic Expanse. Do you believe that by the 23rd or 24th century, the worlds inhabited by the five species of Xindi in the former Delphic Expanse have become part of the United Federation of Planets? What of the other...
