Spoilers VOY: To Lose The Earth by Kirsten Beyer Review Thread

Gave it a below average but stopped reading at page 50. I've read her previous books and found I always skipped or glazed over a lot of the stuff and found myself doing it again with this book. It's slow and plodding with a lot of character internalization which sacrifices the storys pace. I...

Spoilers NO SPOILERS FOR CODA - A Lit-verse Grand Finale...What We Know (Spoilers for Entire Lit-verse)

I just want them to conclude the typhon pact series with some grand war. Then do a temporal reset, maybe tie that in somehow.

Are there any planned books taking place in the Typhon universe?

Now that Picard and Discovery are out I guess those are canon? the newer books seemed geared for those series. I guess all those years of trek books are kinda moot now right?

    Best Trek books

Articles of the Federation. Because it was refreshing to read star trek from a non star fleet perspective and introduces a great character. The Destiny Trilogy. Because galactic events massively change in trek lore, it has all the crews and is the defining moment in trek literature.

Spoilers TNG: Available Light by Dayton Ward Review Thread

I finished it and rated it average. It was 80% a tng episode and the remaining 20% was dealing with the section 31 aftermath. And neither plot lines were connected in any remarkable way. The section 31 plot was the more interesting one. The tng plot was predictable and tedious at points. Like...

Ah man, I was hoping for more voyager books.

Spoilers VOY: Architects of Infinity by Kirsten Beyer Review Thread

I'm 50 pages in and I'm struggling with this. So far it's all about dealing with interpersonal problems and a lot of wheel spinning that goes nowhere. As soon as I saw that the book was 256 pages long I knew it was going to be one of those "just get it done" trek books. From what I've read it...

Spoilers PRM: Feuer gegen Feuer / Fire with Fire by Bernd Perplies & Christian Humberg Review Thread

5/5 great Trek book. New characters are interesting, please keep writing.

Spoilers TTN: Fortune Of War by David Mack Review Thread

Gave it a 5/5. Great trek book. So good.

Spoilers ENT: Rise of the Federation: Patterns of Interference by C.L. Bennett Review Thread

I gave it a below average. So disapointing. I was looking forward to reading this. All the plotlines were weak and two of them were meaningless. I guess having a recent trek book explain section 31s downfall and history took the wind out of the books sails.

Spoilers DS9: Enigma Tales by Una McCormack Review Thread

I gave it a below average. I only read 40% of it, but man this was a struggle to read. I have absolutely no interest in reading anymore of this.

Spoilers DTI: Shield of the Gods by Christopher L. Bennett Review Thread

I gave it an average. It's ok. I guess it's a somewhat satisfying ending for a minor character? ....

Damn. That was a fucking good book.

Spoilers TNG: Headlong Flight by Dayton Ward Review Thread

Does this novel take place during the Typhon Pact? or does it occur before the Destiny events?

Spoilers Prey: Book 3: The Hall of Heroes by John Jackson Miller Review Thread

Never knew this trilogy existed. Also whoever did the cover art for the book should hang their head in shame, that's just humiliating. Awful. Pocket books is a profesional publushing company right? lol. :EDIT: wait book 2's cover page ... omg.

Spoilers DTI: Time Lock by Christopher Bennett Review Thread

Good job!. I just finished it and gave it an above average. Very well paced. It felt quick and snappy, even if it is a novella. The characters and the story didn't drag. I really enjoy reading aspects of the federation that always aren't Starfleet and human-centric. Out of all the Trek...

Spoilers DS9: Force and Motion by Jeffrey Lang Review Thread

I gave it an average. I only read half of it because it was uninteresting. I may finish it sometime, maybe. That's how uninteresting it is and for the last years I've gobbled up every newly released Trek book. Lang is a competent author, he's an ok writer no complaints but man, couldn't he have...

Spoilers ENT: Rise of the Federation: Live by the Code by Christopher L. Bennett Review Thread

Just finished reading it. Gave it an above average. Overall it was pretty good. I could've gone without all the relationship melodrama (Phlox and his family, Sato/Kimura, Sam/Valerie and to a lesser extent Trip/T'Pol and Archer/Danni). Oh and less Mayweather ... I can't stand that character...

Spoilers VOY: A Pocket Full Of Lies By Kirsten Beyer Review Thread

I just finished it and rated it an above average. I always enjoy Kirstens work. It's always a fast enjoyable read and I never get bored or find myself skipping parts. With that said it felt too emotional, and not in a good way. Its like almost everyone had these emotional problems they had to...
