News Star Trek IV Remastered Coming To Theaters Next Month

Haha! I had a great time and enjoyed the movie as much as ever, also noticed a few visual details I had missed all these years. Such a solid script, great comic performances and a cast fully utilized. No regrets at all, and looking forward to viewing again in 4K in my home theater very soon!!

News Star Trek IV Remastered Coming To Theaters Next Month

Saw the screening Thursday evening in southern New Jersey at an ok Regal cinema. Presentation was overall excellent, sound could have been a touch louder but still a pleasure to see on screen. I did notice 2 audio omissions. Wondering if a side or rear track of the soundtrack was not being...

Why does Riker lean into corners?

Yes, Frakes's shoulder can be quite threatening for the unprepared... Nice find, knew it was just a matter of time :rommie:

    Tabletop Trek Games?

Unfortunately I never really got into role playing games, wouldn't even know where to find a group now. I do have friends into board games and I've successfully snuck in Star Trek Cataan into a few game nights. Just picked up Fleet Captains and it's two expansions but have yet to find...

    Star Trek and SF....

Here I thought this thread was going to be about the San Francisco Fleet Yards! Born in 72, Star Wars and Star Trek are my two earliest memories of SF. Seeing SW at 5 definitely left an impression, and I don't remember if I'd seen ST reruns before that, but I'd def seen many eps before seeing...

If you were able to use the Holodeck

And then Geordi goes ahead and has the computer create a holographic Leah Brahms; in fact, it was the computer's suggestion and he's still kinda surprised by the possibility. I guess famous historical figures are considered public domain, as Data has Einstein, Newton and Hawking playing cards...

Rewatching Trek by subject: what subject would you choose?

Haven't done this recently, but back in college, when TNG was still being first run, I'd put together theme nights of sorts in the rec room of my dorm showing VHS tapes grouped by Klingon politics (specifically Worf's dishonor eps), Romulan encounters, Data stories, etc. Gathered a fairly...

Contemporary Films That Used Clips of TOS...

Drop Zone with Wesley Snipes shows a couple night watchmen watching Journey to Babel while on duty. One thinks Shras is a 'dweeb' in a bad toupee, to which the other responds 'They all wear wigs on that show' (Shatner dig?)

Season SEVEN OFFICIAL TNG Blu-Ray Discussion Thread

Could be. Guess I made the mistake of trying to rewatch it after years with fresh eyes, only to have the joke spoil any gothic mood for me within the first few moments. :guffaw:
