Probably got repairs, refit and upgrades. Also likely took some time for Crusher to de-Borg Starfleet and for all the changelings to be discovered.

You’re probably right, but it IS a little strange that Matalas decided to flash the “one year later” caption before that scene as opposed to after, which would’ve made more narrative sense within the episode. Almost like he’s setting up potential stories by doing so.

In retrospect, Vadic was on the verge of being totally incompetent. She almost got Jack killed by putting the Titan into a deep abyss. Any other crew and Jack probably dies there. Frontier Day plans ruined forever. The fact that she didn’t have a tractor beam ready to “save” the Titan after...

Soundtrack gets more amazing with every listen. You pick up on things that you didn’t the first times. Like the Klingon motif they threw into Invisible Rescue when the Titan cloaks. I didn’t hear those at all during live viewing, probably because of the sound effects/mixing.
