Adam "Mojo" Lebowitz posted this on Facebook. I think he worked on the TMP DE and the DS9 Documentary.
"YEAR OF HELL
Now in HD!
Seeing that cool fan model of the wrecked Voyager from "The Year of Hell" inspired me to...
I was watching The Motion Picture on 4K and during the Klingon attack at the beginning of the film, I noticed that the lips of the actors weren't in synch with the words. But later on everythings in sych again.
After a bit of internet sleuthing, I found out that James Doohan dubbed the lines of...
Corridor Crew is a YouTube channel where they delve into VFX and how they are made. It's pretty interesting.
Right near the end is some interesting stuff on the DS9 episode Trials and Tribulations which cost 3 million dollars in 1997. DS9's most expensive episode.
An interesting little video from Junkball Media. It somehow slipped by me back in the day. A feature film length interactive Star Trek movie - featuring John De Lancie.
Mods feel free to delete if this post doesn't belong!
I've watched and enjoyed Corridor Crew for many years, especially their VFX artists react series. In the latest episode, they discuss the Borg Queen's entrance and how it was accomplished:
I'd like to see a piece about how the ships were done in Generations especially - looking at the...
I watched this video with Adam Savage, taking a look at the TMP and the TUC spacesuits. Most interesting to me was OAKLEY stenciled into the back of the TUC helmet - now I have to watch the movie again.
Just in time for First Contact Day!
Am personally just going to get Generations, as the previous blu-ray was so bad. I really hope they stick with the black cases with the movie posters so that they match the individual sets we already have. The artwork on the 'collection' was terrible...
I finally got around to getting a 4K TV and a player - solely because of the TOS movies coming out in 4K. I have just finished watching V in 4K and the difference is probably the most remarkable of all the Trek movies so far.
TMP and TWOK already had decent standalone releases. TSFS and TVH...
I recently went through the attic and chucked out a lot of stuff, including essays and stuff from school/university. Haven't looked at any of that in over 20 years.
Scrawled on a page of A4 was a list of Star Trek movies. I think this was circa 1998/1999 as Insurrection had just come out...
Adam Mojo Lebowitz recently posted on Facebook that he has re-rendered a Voyager F/X sequence in HD. Here is the relevant comment by the artist:
"Now that Trek is back under one roof and Paramount Plus wants to expand their Trek Content I think that day may finally be a glimmer of light on the...
Just this morning, Amazon France dropped a listing for a box set of the first four Star Trek films in 4K Ultra HD with a street date of September 8.

Whilst working from home, I've been listening to the Ron Jones project:

It's flipping great, some of the scores for terrible episodes like Up the Long Ladder are actually pretty decent. Season 1 and 2 have this kind of TOS...
So Leonard Nimoy appeared as Spock in 1991's Undiscovered Country and it was 18 years before he reprised his iconic role.
Jeri Ryan last appeared as 7of 9 in 2002's Nemesis and would reprise her role again after 18 years in Picard.
But Jonathan Del Arco is reprising his role as Hugh that he...
When I were a lad, you'd sometimes go see a movie just for that break out new special effect. I'm thinking of The Abyss and the Pseudopod sequence, The morphing T1000 and of course the dino's in Jurassic Park and later bullet time in The Matrix
. The old Trek movies may look dated now, but they...
Neatly summarises DSC season 2. A few good episodes in the beginning (New Eden and Sounds of Thunder) and then a nonsensical middle and end. What I like about the review is that these guys clearly love Star Trek and intelligent Sci-Fi.
It'd be great if there was a re:View series made entirely...
I have tried to render the new DSC Enterprise in Rhino3D. I used the free neon render plugin.
