Okay,
I'm seen The Wrath of Khan a lot. I mean, a lot.
More than a normal person. More than a lot of you I would wager (though probably not some of you :D).
I got TWOK on VHS around 1988 and I reckon on average I've watched it an average of 25 times a year since then.
Seriously. Well over...
For me, that was one step too far.
Everything up till that point was right on the line of acceptability for a Star Trek movie. I am happy to let everything else go. The gaps in logic, playing loose with trek canon and treknology. Its the big, summer, blockbuster version of Star Trek. As long as...
Hi Folks
Been working on a movie review website with a friend of mine for a while.
www.moviebreadbin.com
We have our tongue planted firmly in our cheeks but I think our heart is in the right place. It's still in its formative stages and we hope to add a lot more content.
Any comments would...
Hello people,
Been rooting through my old VHS tapes and I found this. It was from "Star Trek Night", a 30th anniversary special on BBC2 in the UK in 1996.
There were a few documentaries and a couple of talking heads but the main feature was this documentary Star Trek Story. I've looked around...
I think that's his name.
Man, that guy is dull. So dull I want to smash my DVD player to bits. Totally miscast.
"With our primary fleet engaged in the...zzzzzzz"
Sorry, I've stopped listening. I just can't picture this guy commanding a starship - let alone the starfleet (or the academy -...
Link. This is a link. Click on me.
Over at Trekmovie, in the Wrath of Khan comic book talkback, Bob Orci has chimed in for opinions on having Khan in the new movie. About halfway down the page.
He's not really stating an opinion one way or the other, but its interesting to hear that Khan is...
Can't help thinking we have all seen this movie by now, and if not - why the hell are you posting in here? :wtf:
If you get spoiled by now, its your own bleeding fault. I know we want to give people fair warning etc, etc...
Mind you, if you stay to the end of the credits...
SPOILER!!!
Seen the movie twice now.
Damn, that opening sequence hit me hard both times. Such a beautiful score and wonderful performances from the actors playing George and Winona Kirk.
I could literally feel the hairs sticking out the back of my neck as Kirk was born. I had goosebumps.
That entire...
Anyone seen these yet?
Apologies if these have been posted - but I've not seen them yet.

Look good.
Here
The trailer mixed with some B-roll footage with the bridge in the background in a couple of shots. Its certainly got me excited.
Oh and, er...there's a bloke in front of a fireplace on the competitions page :wtf:
:D
I mean really, flying around in spaceships wearing uniforms (especially the TWOK ones ) firing laser beams?
Captains? Port and Starboard?
The Bridge?
If we ever get into space exploration,(which I can't see in the next 300 years) it won't be anything like Star Trek. It will be...
Dammit, abrams!
The actors didn't have the Delta Shield Logo (DSL) in their eyeballs in TOS!
This simply will not do. This is just another example of how this guy has clearly never watched Star Trek.
I mean, everyone knows the DSL is supposed be on the breast of the uniform!!! Why...
My Friends.
Firstly, I'm proud of what this forum has achieved this last two months, but as of today - I'm going to drop the sombrero and mexican references from my avatar.
I've been wanting to do this for a couple of weeks now. I feel the tide has turned, so I'm getting out now while we are...
Trekmovie has confirmation of what type of uniforms they will be wearing. I'd pretty much guessed that's what they would wear anyway (after what James Cawley said)

:techman:
Post your encouraging noises/incoherent rants about...
Don't know if anyone has seen this. Made me laugh.
I'll warn you now, it has explicit lyrics and is not safe for work. I mean it.

:D
You know, I liked her.
She certainly had a bit of something about her. Even though she gets some fairly clunky dialogue in Q-Who she manages to stand out.
Any idea why she was dropped? It mentions in the TNG companion that she was, but she's never been any more than a footnote. I'm trying to...
I do.
Lets look at the evidence.
1# The photo's don't really show us anything new. A mining shuttle? A close up of the delta shield? Hard Hats? Its hardly the Enterprise crew and I don't see Leonard Nimoy anywhere. No Time travel portals and no pictures of Simon Pegg wearing his Academy ring...
I just can't work this one out at all :wtf:
At first I thought it was German. Now, I'm not so sure.

It did make me laugh though. Especially Troi.
I just can't work out why Paul Rice talks like a woman
From Star Trek : Creator - The Authorised Biography of Gene Roddenberry
In a letter to fans, discussing the decision to kill off Spock in TWOK, he talks about the future of Star Trek and how the franchise could go on without Nimoy and the others.
So, for all of you who still dont think this new...
