Flat Earth Movement - What Gives?

Please help me, this Flat Earth Movement is beginning to get into my head. I've loved the space program and NASA since I was 7 years old during the Gemini missions. Heck, even my father worked at Martin-Marietta and Goddard Space Flight Center from the 60s to the 80s. The flat earthers make a...

TNG Blu ray now on Netflix

I haven't looked at TNG on Netflix for a couple of weeks, and just now have noticed they upgraded the episodes with the bluray version. I didn't get an email notice from Netflix like they normally do when they add a new series or film, perhaps it wasn't newsworthy enough. Not that it really...

What do you spend most of your time doing while on the internet?

Besides the Trek BBS, what do you do most while on the internet? For me, I mostly play the games at Publishers Clearinghouse and look around on eBay.

Problem with my printer, it prints trash

Lately, on every print job using my Canon MP210 printer and my HP Pavilion PC I am getting 2 to 3 pages of "code" included at the beginning. I reloaded the driver, which didn't help. I contacted Canon service, they weren't any help. Since the printer is several years old, I bought a new one...

Does anybody recommend buying used tires?

I've never bought used tires before, but am considering it because I need to replace my two front tires. I plan to get a new car in about a year, and I don't see why I should spend $300 a piece for new ones. Does anyone have experience with used tires, either good, bad or indifferent?

Total Recall (1990) on BluRay = crap

I picked up the movie at Walmart today in the $5 bin. I should have read the reviews of the Blu Ray transfer first. I thought I was watching a well worn video tape rental. Get what you pay for, I guess.

What song are you "embarrassed" to like?

Is there some piece of music, whether a "regular" song, TV theme, or commercial jingle that you would be hesitant to admit to your friends or family that you liked? Two of mine are the theme from Banana Splits and The Last Farewell, by Roger Whittaker.

AMC's Hell on Wheels, Season 4

Just saw the season 4 opener, and I was underwhelmed by it. Very little action, and way too much talking. Hope the show doesn't further slide into snoozefest like The Walking Dead.

Lip Readers, Need Help With Dr. Korby Line

In What Are Little Girls Made Of? Dr. Korby tells Andrea "Now, uh, kiss Captain Kirk" . Thanks to large screen HD, his lip movements don't even remotely appear that he is saying "Cap't Kirk". Any ideas?

Star Trek TMP Theme and Superbowl XIV

Does anyone remember the main title theme from TMP being used during the telecast of Superbowl XIV? I don't recall if it was used during the pregame show, or during the game itself. The game was only six weeks after the movie opened, and it was quite surprising to hear. Hopefully somebody...

What Was Going on in the Next Room in The Deadly Years?

I was watching the remastered The Deadly Years yesterday, and noticed something I had never seen in hundreds of previous viewings. During Lt. Galway's death scene in sickbay, as she and Kirk and McCoy were in the doorway between rooms in sickbay there was a reflection on the far wall in the next...

    TMP Bronze Enterprise Publicity Photo

Does anyone remember the photo of the TMP Enterprise which came out around the release of the movie? The ship was a dark bronze color, probably due to the lighting of the photo. I haven't seen it in years - anyone have a link to it? I liked the color so much, I painted my first refit model...

Bruce Greenwood, Cliff Robertson and JFK

In this shot, Bruce Greenwood's resemblance to Cliff Robertson is striking. I suppose that's why both of them have portrayed JFK.

    Red Blooded Spock??

I had a WTF moment on my 10th viewing when I almost blurted out loud in the theater "Spock doesn't have red blood!!!!". I hadn't paid attention to the color of the blood on his lip before, but there it was when Sarek and little Spock were having their heart to heart after the school fight.

    Lee Major's Bionic Hearing Aid

I've seen this ad twice in the past couple of days with Lee Majors hawking a hearing aid. I was suprised to the J.G. Wentworth guy in the commerical. I thought he WAS J.G. Wentworth, not some actor. They've raped my adulthood!!!!!!!!!!!!!
