Next Picard novel: Second Self by Una McCormack, coming April 2022

New listings for this turning up. It's set post-season one, so the blurb might be considered mildly spoilery in terms of the characters being more than just off on the La Sirena somewhere: I loved what Una did with Raffi and the Romulans in The Last Best Hope (I loved everything she did in that...

USS Titan in The Official Starships Collection

Hi all, I posted an interview on The Trek Collective today with Ben Robinson of The Official Starships Collection, the magazine and model series. When I asked about the potential for non-canon ships such as the Titan to be included this was the answer: I doubt 5,000 names alone is all it will...

    The Stuff of Dreams cover

Simon and Schuster have released the cover for The Stuff of Dreams. Looks like this: Still no blurb! But from what James Swallow has described already I'm looking forward to this return to the nexus, sounds like it should be a really good Picard story.

New Czech cover for Kobayashi Maru

The Czech publisher of Trek novels, Laser Books, has released a new cover for their edition of Kobayashi Maru: It was originally going to come out last year, but they've had a few hiccups with Enterprise because another publisher managed to get the rights to do the Romulan War books there...

The Almighty Star Trek Lit-verse Reading Order Flow Chart, Mark II!

I'm sure many of you are aware of Thrawn's fantastic flow chart to guide us through the interconnectivity of the lit-verse. That was made nearly a year ago, so it felt like time to make the next version, adding on the latest releases (and few not out yet), and adding in some more of the related...

IDW reprinting US newspaper comic strips

I don't think this has been mentioned here yet: A couple of days ago I was browsing Amazon and found a new listing for a book from IDW titled Star Trek Volume 1. It's not the omnibus of the ongoing series with the same title though. Listed as the authors are Thomas Warkentin, Sharman DiVorio...

    Forgotten History blurb

The Simon and Schuster listing for Forgotten History has finally gotten rid of the Watching the Clock blurb in favour of something new: I didn't need convincing on this one, but if I did, I think that would have done the trick.

New blurbs for Raise the Dawn, Fallen Gods, and The Eternal Tide

A new batch of blurbs has been added to Simon and Schuster's website: Typhon Pact: Raise the Dawn Titan: Fallen Gods Voyager: The Eternal Tide All sounds good to me. All three are on my "read as soon as I can lay hands on them" list.

    Pages from "Build the Enterprise"

Hi guys, I hope this is of interest/news to you. I don't normally venture out of the Trek lit section, but I had a quick look around and couldn't see any mention of it: A little while ago Deagostini in Japan began work on a new Star Trek part-work magazine and model kit called "Build the...

    New Forgotten History cover

Simon and Schuster has updated its online catalogue with an updated version of the Forgotten History cover. They've tweaked it a bit, added some swirly stuff, and made it colour. I like it a lot more! They're still using the Watching the Clock blurb though...

Bunch of new covers, plus a blurb for That Which Divides

The Simon and Schuster online catalogue has been updated with a bunch of new covers. They're all marked not final: While I'm sure it's not final at all, I really like that impressionistic Rings of Time cover!

    The Struggle Within cover

I was just looking up The Struggle Within and was pleased to find Simon and Schuster have posted a cover: Well, pleased as you can be with the Typhon Pact cover design at least... It's a shame the opportunity wasn't taken to show us one of the new TNG book-only characters too. However, I'm...

    The Struggle Within blurb

Hot on the heels of Christopher's recent announcement of the Talarians playing a part in his Typhon Pact novella, the Simon and Schuster listing has been updated with a blurb. (At least I think it's hot on the heels, maybe it snuck out a day or two before!): I'm pleased the Enterprise is...

Latest blurbs and covers from the S&S online catalogue (spoilers)

Just found a bunch of stuff that's new to me on the Simon and Schuster online catalogue. I'm most excited about DTI: Watching the Clock, which if the blurb is accurate has a Temporal Col War connection :D There's also a cover which I'm less excited about, it's pretty but plain...

    Reman ghost ship?

Possible Synthesis spoilers: I've just started reading Synthesis; on page 32 there's a passing reference to the Enterprise-E having encountered a Reman ghost ship. I cant recall the reference at all, is this something new (set up for something?), or just something I've forgotten?
