Star Trek Into Darkness is very very blue, as opposed to Star Trek 2009 which thanks mostly to Vulcan was very Red and a warm colour palette.
Has JJ Abrams stated why he made it so blue?
My theory is that it is something to do with the 3D? Maybe blue is the best colour for that?

Thanks to computer software it is now possible to remove the camera shaking when the Enterprise gets bumpy :) spotted on reddit.
When this line was uttered I had flashbacks of various Prime Directive episodes and speeches for a split second! Particularly Picard speeches. I know the Prime Directive was broken a lot but it was not simply brushed aside so nonchalantly as Kirk does here in this exchange. I was quite shocked...
I think the Enterprise uses a quantum slipstream or transwarp drive in the reboot. Its the only workable explanation for the travel time to Kronos of approximately two minutes. I have read on here that Kronos is 90 light years from Earth? I don't know the source of that but for the purpose of...
I was not alive in the 70s, I was born in the mid-80s and cannot remember any of the 80s either. So I do not know the answer to this question..
In the early to mid 1970s I believe Star Trek was very popular in North America with many people watching the re-runs in syndication and conventions...
I hate the transporters in nuTrek and this is solely down to the writing of Kurtzman, Orci and now Lindelof.
First of all, Transwarp beaming. Now there is nothing new here because it is now 4 years old, it was used in ST09 and I hoped it would never be spoken of again. I hoped it would be...

UK FANS:
Incase you missed it here is Simon Pegg with Lorraine on Daybreak ITV1.
I only post it because Lorraine is well known and loved in the UK but not only that, she is a big trekkie and it shows during the interview...
Just spotted on twitter. Star Trek into darkness will be screened to some of the press in LA tomorrow (Monday) so even before the Sydney premiere we may get the really big Khan spoilers.
Marvel have got a really good thing going on with the Avengers. Their comic book heroes all inhabit the same universe so they have have the same characters and even have crossovers!
Trek at the moment cannot do this because TOS stands alone in its universe and as a result this means that...
WARNING: NEW STUFF IN THIS, SPOILERS. You have been warned.

I think this show gets like 8million viewers so it will be good exposure for the new Star Trek. Guess I will have to watch it :/
Revolution (JJ Abrams TV show) has premiered tonight on Sky 1 and I have noticed on twitter that during the program there is a trailer of some kind for Star Trek Into Darkness. I am about to watch that show on sky1+1 and maybe there is some new footage or something :)
Just wanted to let...
The writing team of Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek into Darkness are told to reboot The Next Generation. Now I can see their dilemma right away, what do they do with the Picard character?
Now right off the bat the people in this forum would want the Picard from the TV series faithfully...
When scanning the comments of a new trailer or new article about the latest Star Trek movie nothing annoys me more than some Trek fans stating how this movie is too star wars, too much action, too dumbed down and not 'MY' Star Trek. Then they proceed to get on their high horse and try to shoot...
