    2025 Comics Thread

I'm still pissed they canceled the Alien/TNG crossover, that had a ton of potential.

    Random Thoughts...or...What's on Your Mind?

It's been a while so I think it's time to mention it. I was going to go on a Cruise in September but I had to cancel because my father suffered a stroke that has landed him first in the hospital and now in a care center. He is having issues being conversational, has lapses in memory and has to...

The popup is putting me off: if you say cancel, you end up in a loop and can't get to the generator itself. It also has "yes" filled in...

Spoilers Strange New Worlds General Discussion Thread

I’m still woefully depressed that PRO got canceled. It was a wonderful show with such amazing and untapped potential. I hope one day it can return, but sadly I think it won’t. :(

The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Hardly the first time. Vanessa Redgrave's role acting was entirely separated from her personal viewpoints. Charlton Heston thought in his bio it'd be foolish not to cancel Redgrave or anyone else for their views. What did Bialik say to thwart the fictional reboot?

Trek's future according to Paramount's new owners...

That’s true. There is a scenario where Skydance could immediately tell him to cease production on SNW S4&5, and SFA, and they would just never be completed and shown. But I doubt that will happen. I don’t see any major changes for at least a year.

But he's also not the one making greenlight and cancellation decisions, that's above his paygrade.

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 3x07 - "What Is Starfleet?"

Yep. Pelia was desperate to be in Beto's show. It's a bit of a giggle to imagine someone in the Trek future fretting about being Canceled by a smug goober with a camera.

    General Trek Questions and Observations

I was just thinking how many Star Trek shows have been cancelled.

The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Probably a good thing with the main actress having proclaimed controversial viewpoints over the years.

The unnecessary reboot/remake of the week thread

Corporate shenanigans have led Disney to end the Blossom reboot/continuation before it ever got started. It has been in development since The Big Bang Theory ended. In short, the new executives didn't see the potential that the old execs did.

Trek's future according to Paramount's new owners...

It has nothing to do with cost containment. They simply didn’t want to continue producing SNW anymore, not that they wanted to end a show about a crew on an Enterprise only to start producing another show about a crew on an Enterprise. That’s not cost containment. It has nothing to do with...

Trek's future according to Paramount's new owners...

Five and Gone is a cost containment measure (They wanted to cancel SNW after S4. They only got a truncated S5 after Akiva Goldsman begged for it.) If they're that worried about ship confusion, they can always give the G a refit (just as the Enterprise-D got a refit and became the...

Trek's future according to Paramount's new owners...

If P+ wanted a show about a crew on an Enterprise, they wouldn’t have canceled SNW. So thinking that they’re going to make another show about a crew on an Enterprise, when they already had one, isn’t very logical. As far as TNG and the TOS films went, that was a mistake. Paramount thought they...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

I could agree on Krypton and Constantine, but I wouldn't say the Superman & Lois ended prematurely, it ran four seasons, which is a pretty good ru Yeah, I'd pretty much started to suspect right from the beginning that Superman & Lois was a it's own Earth, there were just many things that didn't...

DC Cinematic Universe ( The James Gunn era)

At least that same Constantine lived on as part of Legends of Tomorrow and Krypton was nearly set on Supergirl's earth but the lead actor was unavailable to reprise his role as a holographic warning about the Anti-Monitor. I never forgave Superman and Lois for its deliberate deception.
