The Naked Gun (2025) Teaser trailer

Saw this last night and had lots of fun. Liam Neesom was perfect in the role and I loved the fact they also did noir-style narration. Pamela Anderson was also surprisingly good in this. There were so many good jokes and little nods to the original movies, and a great post-credits scene.

Gina Carano Sueing for Wrongful Termination from Disney

Even when you're not at work when you say things, you're still going to be associated with the company in people's minds, and the companies are not going to want to be associated with you. I'm not a fan of the big corporations either, but they're all about their public image, and they're not...

Firebird's Sketch of the Week Series

Good catch on the spelling, I just didn't realize it since I was typing fast as usual. The body just automatically spelled what I thought it was, whoops, my bad. I'll go edit & fix it.

Firebird's Sketch of the Week Series

I can't tell, are you joking? Because it's spelled with an E.

Gina Carano Sueing for Wrongful Termination from Disney

...statement she made was the one disney fired her for. I dont recall her making any racist remarks. I.guess you're talking about her pronouns joke? People kept harassing her to put pronouns on her X and she didnt want go si she put beep boop bop or something like that. Whatever else I dont...

Fan reactions to Starfleet Academy's female Jem'Hadar/Klingon hybrid character

...the business and becoming showrunner for STP and all, but when it comes to the notion of a continuity of production from Roddenberry, this is a joke. I'll happily grant that he's closer than Kurtzman and Goldsman, having at least been in the same room with Berman (I presume), but he was...

YES - Close to the Edge: Star Beagle Adventures episodes 12 - 19

...outbid.” javWalirsh laughed again. “He’d rather go boy-boy than try on an alien,” Vef pouted. “Nope. It’s all about you, Norkie,” javWalirsh joked as he landed a paw on the tiny, pink tellarite’s head and mussed her tuft of white hair. “Go fix up your makeup and try another day.” “We have...

Fan reactions to Starfleet Academy's female Jem'Hadar/Klingon hybrid character

Well, that's how we got the explanation for the Romulans and I'm sure that causes no questions at all.

Fan reactions to Starfleet Academy's female Jem'Hadar/Klingon hybrid character

Roddenberry joked about northern and southern Klingons, but inasmuch as a canonical explanation, there never was one.

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 3x05 - "Through the Lens of Time"

Remember how Vader was like Tarkin's lackey before he became the Big Bad Boss.

I mean, we had British Romulans in TNG. Why CAN'T they have several accents the way we do?

Spoilers Marvel Cinematic Universe spoiler-heavy speculation thread

No weirder than an American-accented Romulan, or an English-accented one. Well, I'm sure there were people in the '60s who complained about T'Pau having an Austrian accent when other Vulcans had American or mid-Atlantic accents.

An attempted joke at all the folks objecting to an Irish accented Romulan. Forgot Condon was Irish, so joke fail. :p

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 3x05 - "Through the Lens of Time"

Lucas had NO CLUE of where the Star Wars saga would go. Heck the main characters were being changed a lot in development. Han Solo was a green shinned monster with gills and Luke Skywalker was called Annakin Starkiller who was a general from a family of dwarfs. The first movie wasn't even called...

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 3x05 - "Through the Lens of Time"

Those are not continuity issues. It's called adding backstory. None of it contradicted ANH. Of course Lucas didn't have all three films planned out. Any nerd worth his salt knows this. What you are describing is not continuity or canon. As for Han shooting Greedo second. So what??That was...

Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 3x05 - "Through the Lens of Time"

You're...you're joking, right? One need only look at the Original Trilogy to see retcon after retcon. Vader started out as the guy who killed Luke's father in Star Wars, only to become his actual dad in Empire...simply because Lucas thought this was a better twist than having Obi-wan being the...

Poll Is Star Trek: Khan khanon?

...remembering every fact he's exposed to, there was zero relevance for him to bring it up. Then again, I loved his recollection in GEN about the joke not told in "Encounter at Farpoint" that he just "got", proving that off-screen hints can fit without tripping over anything major (hi Borg...
