    Joel Revisits TNG Season One

The Naked Now Season 1, Episode 2 The Story: The S.S. Tsiolkovsky, an Oberth-class vessel (last seen in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock) is to rendezvous with the Enterprise. Unfortunately, the Tsiolkovsky crew caught a virus that made them go crazy, and during a landing party mission...

Oliver Harper's Commentary for "First Contact"

Yeah, if you have the time (or the interest) I recommend it. I like to hear their comments on the production, trivia, etc. I also wanted to hear their commentaries on some Roger Moore pictures, but those are also over two hours....and time (as a certain character brought out) is a luxury we...

    Joel Revisits TOS....

Thanks for the comments everyone. As I mentioned in my TNG, Season One review thread: My other writing projects (not to mention day job) has kept me busy and behind. I'm also trying to catch up on shows -- which are part of my writing projects (e.g. spec script ideas). Stay tuned.

    Joel Revisits TNG Season One

Thank you for the comments, everyone. I'm in the process of getting my other writing projects together so I'm a bit behind; my pitches for Cracked.com, spec scripts, short film scripts, short stories, etc...etc...etc. I've also been trying to catch up on shows. Stay tuned.

Watching my favorite show Supergirl (awesome episode this past Monday, btw)....watching the TV series Logan's Run (courtesy of Netflix)...and I'm in Season 1 of the 80s TV show, Friday the 13th. I'm looking to watch The Americans later.

    Joel Revisits TNG Season One

Thank you for the comments, everyone. ;) “Encounter at Farpoint” (Season 1, Episode 1) Story: Captain Jean-Luc Picard has been recently put in command of Enterprise 1701-D, a Galaxy Class vessel. In this episode, he picks up his crew at various parts of the, well, galaxy while dealing with a...

Oliver Harper's Commentary for "First Contact"

Greetings: For those interested, Oliver Harper (a channel I frequent for movie reviews and retrospectives) did a commentary for First Contact. (Note: This has actually been out for sometime, so I'm a bit late posting this).

    What are you watching???

I watched the entire series of "UFO" (a lot of episodes I haven't seen). I also caught up with "Scream Queens" and (why oh why) "2 Broke Girls."

    Star Wars A to Z

A is for Han's "Ahhhhhh!!!" in Episode 4, when he gets too cocky and chases down a small group of stormtroopers on the Death Star, only to be caught in a much bigger group.

Spoilers Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - Grading & Discussion

Shmoesknow, Collider, Jeremy Jahns, Chris Stuckman, Cinefix, and Screen Junkies (YouTube channels I follow) have pretty much given the film raving reviews.

Sonequa Martin-Green is Your DSC Star

Awesome news!!! When I was still watching "The Walking Dead" (I just watch reviews of the episodes now) Sasha was one of my favorite characters.

    Joel Revisits TNG Season One

I'm not a fan of TNG as a whole. I personally felt the show started getting away from its roots after the first season. It took the skirts/go-go boots away (The pain! The pain!) and the adventure aspect. The show changed the Romulans and Vulcans without explanation. Also, the writing (and...

Oliver Harper's Star Trek IV Commentary

For those keeping up with 'Ollie's' Trek commentaries, he's now up to movie 4. If you haven't watched (or listened, rather) to it yet, here it is. I also recommend listening to his commentaries on the Bond films, for those Bond fans out there.

For you long-time fans, did people know Nemesis would be the final TNG film pre-release?

ENT was pretty 'meh' in the writing and execution and the TNG films were really trying hard to appeal to the masses with forced action while simultaneously trying to keep the crowd that watched TNG on the small screen. In the words of Seven of Nine: "They failed." Trek, at that time, was a...

    What are you watching???

I've been watching an old series: Sapphire and Steel. It's pretty slow moving, but interesting in a way. It's like a slower moving Doctor Who (and the Tom Baker era was produced during this time). I don't see myself coming back to it when I'm done. (It's one 'season' with episodes in multiple...

    Spoilers Surviving Franklin crew

Edison was already upset at Starfleet and The Federation for abandoning them. So with that anger, mixed in with years of being on a planet where the rules can be made up (especially when powerful alien tech is found), things are bound to happen to the mind - we saw a bit of this change in the...

    Joel Revisits TOS....

Wolf in the Fold Story Captain Kirk has taken Scotty on a Risa-like planet, Argellus, to help him get over a concussion that occurred off-screen with Dr. McCoy tagging along. Unfortunately, when Scotty takes off to spend some time with an Argellian dancer, he is found with a bloody knife in...

    What are you watching???

I'm just starting Season 2 of American Horror Story. I watched The Shallows (note: it could have actually been a solid film without a few stupid things that were green-lit)..... I'm going to have to put Luke Cage on hold as well as Westworld since there are so many other shows to catch up on.
