William Shatner Confirms Talks for Star Trek Return at 93 Years Old

Pike and Kirk were pretty different characters even if you only consider the pilots.

William Shatner Confirms Talks for Star Trek Return at 93 Years Old

Shatner has been similar similar things for thirty years now, until it’s announced officially I wouldn’t hold my breath. That said, if it ever happens at this point at his age it will be just a cameo.

Spoilers STAR TREK: SECTION 31 - Grading & Discussion

Meh, season 1 and 3 could have been much tighter as well. Not to mention discovery season 3, 5 and especially 4. By the way, the Orville season 3 was also hit by covid AND by having the episodes runtimes extended and the first few episodes really betray this.

Spoilers STAR TREK: SECTION 31 - Grading & Discussion

Then I’m glad it got turned into a movie. Picard and discovery show what happens when too little plot has to be stretched for too many episodes.

Spoilers STAR TREK: SECTION 31 - Grading & Discussion

Honestly it never made sense for pike to be about kirk’s age but commanding the enterprise ten years earlier, especially since Kirk was supposed to be already very young to be captain.

Spoilers STAR TREK: SECTION 31 - Grading & Discussion

Ok, this was REALLY bad. Positive: we’ll, not much. Kinda interesting parts set in the mirror universe, but far underdeveloped. Some action scenes had nice choreography (but most were overlong). Negative: confusing yet predictable plot. Awful direction as expected by the only director I even...

Poll Do you intend to watch SECTION 31?

Of course I will! I don’t expect liking it, giving the premises, but then again I didn’t explain liking beyond either and I did

    Kurtzman intentionally killed Legacy?

Indeed, the last time I heard anything about a similar anthology series concept was with Michael Fuller’s original idea of what became discovery.

    Kurtzman intentionally killed Legacy?

True: the only way a series like that would happen is with animation.

Spoilers Star Trek: Lower Decks 5x10 - "The New Next Generation"

Fantastic finale. The dog. The klingorks. The dog. The birds of prey of different size and age that somehow still look the same. The dog. The ship changing configuration. Did I mention the dog? 9. I’ll miss this series.

Spoilers Star Trek: Lower Decks 5x09 - "Fissure Quest"

Fantastic episode in an otherwise bit too exciting season. I totally share William’s scorn with multiverses and love how they built and made me care about t’pol’s and curzon’s friendship in so little time. Easily a 9, waiting for the finale. I’ll miss this show.

Correct. Maybe. But I like to think Yor came to bring him back to the main timeline after Spock died. Yes.

    Kurtzman intentionally killed Legacy?

Well, it was quite a mixed bag. I liked it, but it had its fair share of issues.

No big deal, you just do another take. In fact the fact that there is a certain amount of live filter means you can see immediately how it will look, something that isn’t an option for example with traditional chroma key.
