    When DS9 first aired...

It was on KASA-TV channel 2 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which had Fox, PTEN, and other syndicated shows (they were a UHF channel I think right at the start and had just switched over to VHF in 1993). DS9 and Babylon 5 were played back-to-back for awhile once they both got going. I think DS9 was...

    Babylon 5

Except for the stuff that's in season five? Garibaldi, Londo, G'Kar have some of the best scenes in year five. I also enjoyed the smaller off-beat episodes like The Corps Is Mother, The Corps Is Father Well she's in only 10 episodes

    Miri

Bonk bonk on the head! First episode I watched and I still like it a lot. The tension with McCoy working hard as the disease slowly takes him is gripping to watch.

t.o.s fans when did you like tng as much as tng original.

Writer's strike was end of season 1/beginning of season 2. Not end of season 2. As for liking TNG I enjoyed from season 1: 11001001, Home Soil, Arsenal of Freedom. Q Who was the first episodes of TNG that blew me away. I still would rather watch TOS than TNG but I like both of 'em.

    Babylon 5

Yes it's 93:13 I never understand the trepidation about season five. That first episode is fun IMO where in the end G'Kar just gives up on the swearing in ceremony for Sheridan and just says "do you", "good we're done!" Season five has some of my favorite scenes with Londo and G'Kar and the...

    Babylon 5

I have the Amazon Prime pilot version which is the cut with the original score (Stewart Copeland) and the run-time is 93 minutes there.

    Gene Coon and Spock’s Brain

I have a vague memory that Robert Justman said he was the one that came up with this idea in the Inside Star Trek book. Unfortunately I don't have the book anymore to check.

    First Episode You Watched

"Miri" during the writer's strike in '88 when my local channel played old episodes in place of TNG. I had started watching TNG and thought it was OK but when I saw this episode of the original series I fell in love. McCoy racing to find a cure as everyone starts falling to the disease. To this...

Who do you think was the worst actor among the TNG cast?

"Lean years" implies not working. Does an actor need to only appear in works that will go down in history? I think not.

Who do you think was the worst actor among the TNG cast?

I'm not sure why this thought seems to take hold around here so much; she's worked steadily ever since.

    Regarding Miles O'Brien

I recall a scene in the TNG finale "All Good Things" of future-Picard telling O'Brien in the past to do a bunch of engineering related stuff and O'Brien was wondering why he was the one to be called on to help. Future-Picard has faith in O'Brien because he knew he was the space station...

    "Stars" of the show

It's not up to the actor to leave; the producers hold the contract.

    Prod,airdate or stardate order?

I'm curious how true that really is. I haven't seen a lot of post production documents to point one way or the other. I think if they were always chasing airdates that closely it wouldn't have been that different from production order. I do know they sometimes ran into issues (like wanting...

    Prod,airdate or stardate order?

I prefer the airdate order; the stories are a little more balanced throughout the seasons. There is plenty of early character development in "The Man Trap" to get a good feel of the show at the start and you don't get two court martial episodes back-to-back that way (Court Martial/Menagerie)...

    The Red Shirt Syndrome

I think a lot of deaths in the first season were not wearing red shirts; that came about more in season 2.

    Babylon 5

"Quality" is totally worth watching for the Londo/Lennier scenes.

Niners Unite...around Babylon 5! - The Lost Threads

The only streaming service Babylon 5 is currently available on is Vudu (that's Wal-Mart's streaming service, and I believe only available in US). You either rent or pay for episodes. Most of the episodes in the collection are the original fullscreen version rather than the redone wide-screen...

David Gerrold on TNG and the Behind-the-Scenes Drama

Berman did talk a little about his decisions on the topic in this startrek.com q&a from 2011 (http://www.startrek.com/article/rick-berman-answers-your-questions-part-2):
