Agreed. Like most DS9 characters, he was multi-layered and likeably flawed. Fundamentally a decent and caring person. He just had his blind spots, was all. I liked him from the start.

I do collages like this all the time (I do desktops) and I can't live without PhotoShop. I am not sure if you could get an older version for cheap - but I'd rather have CS4 or whatever than just about any non-Photoshop product.

I also think that as cable grew by leaps and bounds (which was occurring at exactly the same time DS9 was on) viewers had more choices of shows to pick from, and the casual fan (who might not even care that much about scifi, but started watching TNG because there were a lot slimmer pickings)...
